Sooooo.... not sure I understand what #34 means.
Can anyone explain?
So is Mike saying...
So is it:
lowest card needs to be 2-8
middle card needs to be a Ten only
highest card needs to be a King only
?

If/when you have a K AND 10ss with a 2-8 matching the same suit.Quote: HotBlondeSooooo.... not sure I understand what #34 means.

Now ask yourself why it stops at the eight and it'll begin to make sense why that's even a thing.

Three to a flush with a King Ten in it is better than KT suited in 9/6 or 10/6 DDB.
But in 9/5 DDB or less, this is not true. In those games you should hold either KT suited or King only. And which one do you hold? Depends if you have a third card of that suit ranked 2 thru 8. If so, king only. If not, KT suited.

This particular hold has always bothered me for some reason. You only hold the QT suited in a similar situation. I guess the difference between a 1-gapper and a 2-gapper is enough to justify throwing away the chance at the royal.Quote: tringlomaneThree to a flush with a King Ten in it is better than KT suited in 9/6 or 10/6 DDB.

Good to know that just holding just the K or KT is correct for 9-5. It's hard to find 9-6 around here.
Out of curiosity, what is the penalty (aside from having to do push-ups, Wiz ;) ) for holding the KT over the KTx in 9-6?
