"All good things must come to an end. 66 years 5 months of never having to see a doctor. Now I’m in ICU. Heart attack."
Get well, Mickey.
REMINDER: It is important to see the doctors regardless of perceived well being once you start getting up in the years. Might allow you to make necessary changes before catastrophic events.
Meanwhile, I should visit Montana while I can without fear of being capped.

Now that is funny. You definitely need to visit Montana. The west side of the state is beautiful, check out the Bitterroot Vally, Glacier National Park, and Missoula is a nice little college town. The middle and east side of the state is more plains than anything else. My Father in Law lives in Saco Montana, about 30 miles south of Canada and is literally in the middle of nowhere,
I hope he falls in love with the nurse.Quote: bobbartopThis morning Mickey posted on Twitter:

of all the tons of poker rooms with very little business in montana, where is the best place for $1-2 PLO, $1-2 PLO8, $1-2 big 0, or $1-2 PL dealers choice? and Mickey is a good man, without his intervention, i never wouldve learned how to check the ocean magic machines and golden egypts.

Ignorant response Wiz. The guy never meant you any harm. Mick is a tough SOB but let the liquor talk at times. Has been sober for a few years and probably regrets a few posts.
Sad you bring that up at this point.

Liquor is no excuse for bad behavior

Lack of liquor is an even worse excuse.

And if you knew the man, you would understand he never accepted it as an excuse.

What a lucky bastard.
Walk it off buddy.
Come on now, it's almost an insult to Mickey thinking that he couldn't appreciate or take a light hearted jab(no pun intended).Quote: BozIgnorant response Wiz. The guy never meant you any harm. No excuse. A man must own his words and actions, liquor or not. Furthermore, it was just a joke. I think MC, of all people, would be able to take it.

And hopefully you for once allow a banned member back and ask him.
No former member deserves it more than Mick.
Hard decision, I know you had Nathan as a close second.Quote: BozAnd hopefully you for once allow a banned member back and ask him.

I hope he doesn't. If one can't follow the rules given multiple chances there is no reason to believe it will change.
i do want him back but i think it would open a can of worms.Quote: DRichI hope he doesn't. If one can't follow the rules given multiple chances there is no reason to believe it will change.
as for him changing, i think he quit drinking and has been sober for over a year

Blame the person for their actions, not the alcohol.
I do miss Mickey but I wouldn't want the wizard to allow him back.
Quote: MaxPenWhat makes anyone think Mickey would come back here? I'm pretty sure he could care less about this place.
Seeing as the same group of people are all assembled in a dozen other places too...

From what I saw with my parents, that's normal if he had bypass surgery. They crack open your chest to do that.

It's been over 20 years since I had a friend who had a bypass, opening his chest. He's still alive, but was never the same. Then I know people who just had a stent put in, and essentially good as new.

Even though I've never had a known heart attack, I always carry around aspirin just in case. It might be cheaper to die, but aspirin is the next cheapest thing.
Long term heart damage isn't very cheap either.

I had one when I was around 35, but I still don't take any aspirin.

I'm beginning to think you're alot like an aunt of mine. She has been dying since I was 9. So about the past 40+ years.😂She will probably outlive me.
Quote: DRichI don't think I am dying on a daily basis, I just doubt that I have more than a few years.
For the past 15 years or so my aunt has said the same. She continues to smoke, drink, and just generally abuse herself along with having various ailments. She is also now legally blind. None of her attempts at hitting the other side of the dirt are working.
The smoking is keeping away the viruses and the drinking has completely pickled her and made her immune to all bacteria. Her body is so screwed up cancer is afraid of her. It has taken up residence 3 times and wound up leaving each time. She starves it out by not eating and swilling copious amounts of liquor.😀

I think your aunt might be my dad.
