It's a weird variant that you can find here:

https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/tables/joker-poker/kings-or-better/

The more common game is 98.44 Jokers (Kings) and is actually one of the most frequent games I've seen. Even in casinos in which the video poker is generally bad, you can sometimes find that one. On the one above, FH pays 6 instead of 7 and the top three hands also pay a reduced amount in favor of better returning quads. The game mentioned above actually shares a paytable with 99.98% Jokers Kings with the exception being the reduced Full House.

Another post I missed. I must have been busy last week. I was. A lot of holiday promos.

Thanks for the reply, Mission. Merry Christmas.

I wonder if it would attract more players if they had new video poker games. I like the concept that Aristocrat is using by including some of their popular slot games and some new keno games on their bar tops.

I also remember a number of years ago Scientific Games introduced a new cabinet with the traditional video poker games on it and they had one or two very new, never seen before games. I thought that alone gave them a good chance to gain interest from the players, but as quickly as it was installed, it was taken out at Red Rock. I'm not sure why it didn't have success because I thought it had potential.

The machine sucked to play was its big downfall. And most casinos not offering good paytables on them was another factor. But a 9/6 DDB with a 5000 Royal lasted in Joliet, IL for years at the dollar level.

Same goes for the games you have designed. If they are installed on a poorly designed machine and have awkward, poor graphics, you are probably doomed even if your game is fun. Garbage paytables wouldn't help either.

And as for winning streak, I hit the target goal on a play money hand. Fml.

I didn't see this post, that's why I didn't acknowledge. I started off knowing nothing about you, but it seems every time I read you, (almost every time), you appear more and more interesting. Merry Christmas.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to you. My wife is forcing me to watch Christmas movies with her until the turkey is ready. Watching National Lampoons Christmas Vacation right now.

I may have deceived you, I am not very interesting.

Now that you talk about the machines, I think I remember that being a negative. The button panel seemed at a weird angle which made it very uncomfortable to play.

Thanks for the link. I do remember the game now!

I just returned from Las Vegas and we saw the Aristocrat bar tops at Green Valley Ranch in the Borracha restaurant. We stumbled on it by accident as we were waiting for a table. Since the bar is open seating and first come first serve we searched around the bar and found it. I really wish I would have had time to play it, but we were flying back home. My plan is to play it quite a bit in June.

One of the two other keno games is called Captain Coins and follows the same rules as Cleopatra Keno. The third keno game is called Buffalo Keno and is pretty involved. That one will be a good challenge to analyze. More on that later.

Regarding the Captain Coins Keno.

I was looking at the game today and you are correct, of course, that it follows the same rules as Cleopatra Keno. (12 free bonus games, the same thing),

I did notice, and it may be worth mentioning, that there is an "auto-play" button. So you don't even have to press a button each hand, just set it to auto-play, and watch. I did not think to see if there is a limit to the hands it will play, besides running out of money, of course.

On the 12 Bonus hands, let me see if I have this right. In Cleopatra, it just runs off 12 hands. But in Captain Coins, you have to hit auto-play to do that, otherwise you have to press the button for each of the 12 hands. IF YOU WANT, you can change the numbers picked in the middle of the 12 Bonus hands. An interesting twist, not that it matters much to me, but it's still an interesting difference from standard IGT Cleopatra.

I hope I said everything right. I was at the end of a video poker play and I was tired, but I wanted to check out the keno on the Aristocrats before I left. These particular machines were set to the 92% range so I can certainly find better Cleopatra Keno than that, if I were to want to play Cleopatra Keno.

WinStar in Oklahoma unveiled their newly remodeled Vienna Bar yesterday, and some Aristocrat bartops have been installed. Unfortunately, they weren't yet operational, but I look forward to trying them out.

I don't think anyone has reported any progressives yet. Would be interesting to note. Is the "Vienna Bar" one that has progressives? I'm dying to go there. They say it's huge.
