Is there an easy way to determine the EV cost for using one VP strategy in place of another? Specifically, there is an 8/6 Bonus Deluxe UX machine I want to play, but don't want to learn an entirely new strategy for just one machine. Since I already know the strategy for 7/5 Bonus UX, I'd like to use that one, and would be willing to eat a small (say around .3%) penalty.

One also has to specify the number of lines each game has. Are you thinking both are 10-line (or the like) or maybe a 10-line 7/5 Bonus strategy used on a 3-Line 8/6 Bonus Deluxe game, for instance?

As the Wiz said about Ultimate X strategies: "Despite the fact that optimal strategy depends on the exact multipliers for the current hand, just a single strategy per game has near optimal performance", I'm guessing your question is more like "how much EV am I giving up if I use a single strategy 7/5 Bonus strategy on an 8/6 Bonus Deluxe game? Right? That removes any dependency on the current multipliers.

Right, I'm using the Wiz's simplified strategy where you don't take the multiplier values into account. In this case, both games are 5-play.

I'd be surprised if it was more than 0.3%.
