They changed the paytable from 25 coins for the Dirty Royal down to 20 coins and from 15 for the 5 of a kind down to 12.
Game went from 100.76% to 98.94% .
Oh well, was fun while it lasted.
Was it always the same people grinding the FPDW? I know of a guy who was in there (I suspect) all the time playing 2 or maybe 3 machines at a time.
Quote: RSYeah they have a players club. Had it for a while now. I want to say, maybe like a year or so, probably longer?

The guy grinding 3 machines at the same time was the one in the Wizard's Video challenge for fastest VP. Really nice guy.
The FPDW games did not give any players card points. Nobody in that room had a card inserted there.
Incredibly the room was virtually empty last night. Wonder why.
Quote: FCBLComishSkyline removed all their FPDW from the Deuces Corral. It was a great game. There were about 25 machines there, 15 or so 10 coin $.25 and the others 5 coin $.25

Shocked they used that paytable. Trying to catch a sucker to play it? I've never seen a casino use it. Always have seen "Airport Deuces" (98.91%) used instead.

I think their hope was that people would not notice. Well, they noticed. The corral was empty again last night.

I'm that 3 machine guy. Thanks for the compliment.
It was a good place to play and in my opinion, still is.
So they decided to make up a bunch of BS as to why I am no longer welcome on the property.
I recommend anyone out there who wants to win and is a Quarters player to play at the BAR only. They have 2 full pay games. 9/6 Deluxe, 9/6 Jacks or better, Royal resets at $1250 and progresses. I hit it once for $1720. Also, hit all of the 4 of a kinds on a bingo card and receive $200. Also, 3 drawing nights where they give out $4500 per week and they are Highly Winnable. Receive 10 tickets for 4 of a kind on Deluxe.
If you want to stay under the radar, play after 7pm and before 7am, 7 days a week, and don't use the player's card. It's only worth 0.125% anyways.
Go there and play it before it goes away.
And the bartenders are pretty nice too.
I can't believe they have barred you from the property. I will ask around and see what their excuse was.
Quote: FCBLComishI can confirm the play at the bar. JOB with the progressive is already almost 100%+, and the bingo card for the quads is just extra free EV.

If he was playing 3 FPDW machines at once, i wouldn't be shocked. Casinos don't want solid winners if they can avoid it.
Quote: mcallister3200A bit off topic but still skyline. How’s the barber shop in the front, anyone have any positive or negative reviews?
It’s always closed when I am there.
I cannot imagine why players now would want to play those old machines when they are under 99%. Apparently they don't.
I probably won't make any friends for saying this, (I'm used to it), but in my opinion playing two or more machines there was poor judgement. Or maybe I should call it selfish judgement. You know it's a small place already, and the profitability of the games was no secret, so why throw it in their face? Why jam it up their ass? If I was owner/management, I'd throw you out too, just for being greedy. (nice guy or not)
would the manufacture date on the machines be good enough. I'd look at that.Quote: DRichDoes anybody know when those machines were first installed? They were there as far back as I can remember.
Quote: bobbartopI never thought it would happen. I haven't been there since the downgrade, can someone tell me if they changed the billboard outside that advertised "100.8%" video poker?

Some would say it's only playable (hourly EV wise) if you play multiple machines at once.
Quote: RSSome would say it's only playable (hourly EV wise) if you play multiple machines at once.
Maybe so, but in that case they can find a better opportunity. Did the casino ever really make money on these machines in recent years?

10-coin fpdw ain't too shabby, even if it's played slowly. I'm curious to see what they do with with this "Deuces Corral". Surely they won't let it sit there empty forever. I wonder what the discussion went like when the decision was made to "pull it".
I always liked Skyline. It was special.
I won't rag on anyone that was playing 2 machines, I cant hate on them since they need eat too. I used to do it myself. Also, I only care about $2 and up FPDW machines.Quote: bobbartopI never thought it would happen. I would play multiple machines in heartbeat during a juicy promotion that was going for only x amount of time, or if I knew the promo probably wasn't going to last very long. There are many promo situations where I wouldn't play multiple machines because I wouldn't want to draw any attention to the promo.
With that being said, I leaned from the start that playing two machines is not a good idea and stopped. It wasn't really the casino I was worried about at the begging. I was more concerned about the ploppies, especially on progressive machines and linked bonus machines. People get mad and jealous if you have an advantage over them or if they think you know something they don't. The last thing you want is people complaining to management. Also it will draw a crowd of gawkers at times.
If an AP was playing 3 machines daily for long periods of time, then when you add other AP's to the mix, I have no doubt they took a hit to their bottom line and decided enough is enough. I got to give the Skyline props for not just 86'ing the culprits.

Years ago, there was machine that was worth over a thousand an hour with almost zero risk. Some lady took notice and started questioning me, I just played dumb. I guess that really pissed her off. She said she was going to management, sure enough, she made a bee to line the high limit room and talked to a host. Soon after I left the machine and watched from afar as they shut down the machine. I'm not sure if I could have negotiated with her or not. I have no doubt she cost me at least 50k and who knows how much I could have made.

You could have at least keyed her car.

I guess you may not be able to answer this question but I've heard, today, that this may soon not be the case. I am not in Nevada. :-(

I am going there tonight. I will let you know.

Thank you. Check bartops, new machines, 8-5 jacks, etc. I have second hand info only.

I predicted that it wouldn't last.
That was the only game left for me at that house.
This is a 102% Return to Player base game.
If someone wants to play please message me.
RF = $12,900
4 Deuces plus Ace = $13,600
200/20/160/50/20/9/4/3/2/1/1
I'd post the picture but can't figure out how to do that. Maybe because I'm using my phone to create this post.

Too much for my wallet. Perhaps dial 1-800-AXEL. He's rich.
Anyway, good find! Good scouting.

I'm a bit confused as to why this is posted on the Skyline thread, unless it's at the Skyline?
I just wanted to give some of my former mates and interested parties a bit of a heads up on this.
Where would you have posted it if you were me?
Quote: kgb92Definitely not at Skyline.

Personally, I probably would not have posted it but rather written a direct message or called someone on the phone if you knew their number. I'm not a $2 player, in fact I'm not even in Nevada, but you've got my curiosity up. I'm trying to picture in my mind where this might be, especially since I've never looked specifically for $2 plays. If I had to take a wild guess I might say Boulder. But I'm not asking, just guessing. If someone plays it, maybe we'll get a trip report.

Don't they do 7X points pretty regularly?
