I read the wizard's analysis on this game, good times pay VP.

With the the specified multiplier table am I correct that the second additional 5 coins for multipliers is at exactly 100% return? This just increases variance right?

No. The, the return is exactly the same with an without the extra bet. Consider just doubling your bet in regular video poker. That is like getting a 2x multiplier on every hand, but the pay table is the same, thus the return is the same. In Good Times Pay you get an average 2x multiplier on every hand, but the return is the same as if it were exactly 2x on every hand.

I enjoy Good Times Poker and on the rare occasions that I am at the Southpoint I will play their NSUD GTP.
