Triple Double Bonus is a WILD ride!
variance is twice that of DDB.

There was a stretch where I was losing -$4 for each Tier Credit I earned.
to put it in perspective, the theo loss on this 99.58% machine is -$0.04 per TC.

but I also hit special quads w/kicker TWICE in about 2500 hands.
I'm running hot since the odds of hitting just one is 1 in 5.8k.

Going back to boring 9/6 JoB (99.54%) will be difficult after this adrenaline rush.

When you run bad for three weeks straight on it, (and you will at some point), you might change your mind.

Ha, I was the same way when I found TDB... Like others have said it's feast or famine, and eventually you'll love the lower variance and the fact that 2 pair is a WINNER on JoB =P. I do still enjoy some TDB though.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

It has become my favorite as well, but agree that the variance is a beotch. Was playing TDB triple play UX in LV last weekend. It did not go well. At. All.

I have felt that way about job for a while now. It is just boring when you get 4oak for a whopping 125 credits.

same with deuces wild.
wild Royal is worth, at most, a quad in JoB.
5 of a Kind is like getting a full house.

but at least there's a 2nd chance of a big payout in the form of Quad 2s, unlike JoB where it's only a Royal.

and since I play for entertainment, I'll probably migrate to gimmick games if I'm playing JoB.
ie: Double super times pay

in my experience, when I find a machine that gives me good positive variance, it keeps giving me positive variance.

For my first DiaD, I played 9/6 JoB. I never went negative in the 8hrs I was on that machine.
Left +$1000 I think, and without hitting a Royal!

for most of that year, I played poker for around 8hrs/day on weekends.
to reach 500tc (and the 125tc bonus) I played that same 9/6 JoB machine to top up to 500tc.
I have never lost money in about 50 tries (ie: 6months) but it did include Freeplay.

then the casino downgraded most JoB to 7/5. :(

so based on my sample size of 1, I say this will be true for the TDB machine in my OP.
:)

Since my last royal which was in early April, I've lost $8000 on single line 25¢ 9/6 JoB! You WILL run bad!

lol.. yeah I know.

but allow a guy to dream that my sample size of 1 will hold true for all machines that give me good positive variance on my 1st try.
With this TDB machine the 2nd machine that ever gave me that (initial try).

don't remind me of pesky facts like small sample size and outcome bias.
