I don't know if this is an appropriate post. But I'll give it a try.

As many of you know, I teach classes at the South Point for two 10-week semesters a year. I have assistants helping me --- collecting names, passing out class notes, selling products, running the projector, etc. There's no real dress code for the job other than you can't be wearing logo stuff from another casino.

One of my long-time assistants has had to bail for this coming semester because her husband has recently undergone open-heart surgery and she's needed at home. I'm looking for a replacement. This semester is Wednesdays August 10 - October 12 and you'd need to be there from about 11:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Compensation: Well, you get a free lunch with the group after the class and the right to ask me any questions you want about gambling. Theoretically there's a limit to how many questions you can ask, I suppose, but none of my helpers have come close to that. Also, attending the classes over and over again, I promise you'll become a more knowledgeable video poker player.

Let me know. bobdancerlasvegas@yahoo.com

As if the free lunch wasn't enough, if I was a local I would certainly be interested in asking you as many questions as I could! With enough of the 'right' questions anyone should be able to come out of that class with a massive wealth of knowledge.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Seems like the perfect place to post this, and I hope you get a few takers.

I also hope some people show interest, if I lived anywhere near LV, I'd take you up on it in a heartbeat. Although, I do disagree with your Article regarding your take on how strongly the Plaza Promotion can be AP'ed and wrote a counter-article here that I hope you may find time to read.

I too would jump at the opportunity if I lived in Vegas. Unfortunately, quitting my job and flying to Vegas every week to help out would be pretty -EV.

You know and I know that I know how to play that Promotion. That's like suggesting I can't write about what a good Video Poker game is (percentage-wise) unless I have played that specific game. Further, I've played other Promotions substantially similar to that one in that they involved a Bonus for some sort of $$$ hit result, so it's not like I'm shooting in the dark.

EDIT: Besides that, I didn't discuss any specifics on HOW to play it (wouldn't do that to you) I simply stated that there were other ways for it to be played at a strong percentage which Mr. Dancer's Article seemed (to me) to suggest was not the case.

Axel, I would think you're the perfect assistant for Dancer. I'm not joking either, and I'll explain in a point by point break down:

1) Bankroll. Of anyone that could learn from Bob you have the ability to take the concepts and realize them on a larger scale than say a stay at home wife interested in playing 9/6 JoB better. You could actually take the concepts learned and apply a big bankroll to them whereas a lot of others could not.

2) Networking. With the number of people you seem to have at any given time on your "team" or what not, you could also take a large force in numbers to these concepts and even hit the long run faster than Bob himself could. Though at that point, perhaps Bob should just join the team and take a slice of the pie =P.

3) Knowledge. You already have a very large VP knowledge (I'm assuming ;) ). With this you know what you do know, and more importantly what you don't. With this base knowledge you'd be able to ask the "right" questions I was referring to above, getting all of Bob's dirty little secrets =).

4) Local. Being local, and an AP, means 'for the most part' you can set your own hours (baring plays that are of a time constraint, etc). I would think if you really wanted to you could have the availability.

5) Already being a professional AP. You can't find resources like Bob anywhere. Having the ability to pick his brain nearly at will is something that's just invaluable to the serious AP. That's like telling a blackjack player they can pick the brains of Al, Ken, etc, etc, etc. There's only so much you can learn in books and online... and the best stuff usually isn't there. That would be like me meeting Grosjean and asking him question after question on some of the newer plays I've been working on, as well as different angles to take on older plays, etc.

If/When you guys work together, I'll only require a 10% brokerage fee for my help in assisting the communication between you two =D. Nah, I wouldn't want any money, just the ability to also pick some brains! Ha.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

If this were being done in a non-casino location, I could see an AP helping. But not the "Sweaty Spaniard 2" or "Sweat Joint" as it's called.

I can only presume that Mr. Dancer has some sort of, 'Immunity,' or whatever you want to call it that applies to him given that he teaches the classes. I should like to assume that the same courtesy would also be extended to anyone that assists him, but Mr. Dancer would have to speak to that.
