What im wondering is WHY would casinos put this auto-hold feature in their video poker?
Quote: yellow62Its funny to me to see online casinos have feature called Auto-hold. Where they basicly hold cards for you and all you need to do is press GO GO GO. And its always the optimal strategy that is played .If that option doesnt tell people who want to win that its impossible i dont know what does.

I've only come across one machine in a casino with an auto hold on it and it did NOT use optimal strategy.
Holding a dealt paying hand is often, but not always, the optimal play.
What did it auto-hold in the case of a dealt non-paying hand?

In my case, the machine was a slant type spin poker game. It auto held on every deal. Basically is held the right cards about 99.8% of the time. Most of its "mistakes" were on BS exceptions. The machine is no longer there.

No, no it isn't. Not even close. And, especially online, that might have a lot to do with why it's offered.
I've never really seen many other auto-hold features other than that though, so maybe my opinion of them is skewed.
On the recovery topic: no response or acknowledgement yet to my email requesting a full cash withdrawal. Status quo on account pages.
Do some casinos do this to attrack succers cause they maybe dont get enough video poker players or what? I wonder
that sounds like a challenge to me. I haven't any prior knowledge of this outo hold but I can't imagine it's 100% accurate on all their VP games. I would be both impressed and scared if it was.Quote: WizardI'm 99.54% sure the auto-hold with Microgaming is 100% perfect. I've let it crank away betting my money on auto-hold and auto-play lots of times.
short answer is Yes. But there's a strategy for doing this. Agian I think you should ask where the information is and how to figure it out if your serious about this. Getting the awnser and not understanding isn't much help in the long run.Quote: zuti6If we have 15-20% cashback on our net losses per month in a casino does that make us automatically profitable in video poker if we play perfectly or let this auto-hold play? If so by how much are we winning ? Or it isnt so?
Hint If you play 1 hand of high limit VP each month and get a rebate on that hand you have a very nice percentage but low profit.
Unfortunately this is online and there's all kinds of shenanigans online so I wouldn't do anything that you can't confortably afford to lose.
