Greetings to the group.
Deuces Wild Bonus is one of my favorite passtimes.
Four Deuces and an Ace pays $500 on my quarter machine- max credits.
The other day I was dealt an Ace and a deuce.
My draw produced the other 3 deuces.
I was trying to figure out the probability of that happening.
Is this correct?
3/47 x 2/46 x 1/45 = 6/97290 = 1/16215
That number seems a bit low to me as I cannot recall ever pulling the last 3 exact cards from the deck before.
Many thanks for the great forum.

You didn't say, and I'm not looking up the strategy for that particular game.. but you kept the A, along with the 2?
Assuming that, then, yes, the probability you have shown is correct. 16,215 happens to be the number of combinations of three card draws you can have, only 1 of which is 222.

Hello rsactuary;
Yes, I kept the A & 2.
Thanks for checking my math.

StevieRay, If you are not aware holding the Ace and Deuce is incorrect in Bonus Deuces. If you care about proper strategy just hold the deuce. Now if you get two Deuces and an Ace keep all three. Three Deuces and an Ace keep all four.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Hi DRich;
Thanx for the info, dump the Ace, got it.

But if you happen to be playing "Double Bonus Deuces Wild" where 5 Aces pay $200 at quarters instead of $100, then you should hold A2.

Hello tringlomane,
Thanks for the advice.
Have not seen DBDW here in any of the Arizona Native-American casinos.
Nice to play those machines at South Point and Gr Valley Ranch in Vegas however.
Cheers

I used to play poker at redrock a lot. During smoke breaks I'd play some DBDW. I was using BDW strategy. I was playing the DBDW often enough there so one night at home I decided to learn the proper strategy. I learned that you were supposed to keep 2A. The next day the very first opportunity I had to hold 2A I end up drawing 222!
