next to me is another $1 9/6 JoB machine and I see someone having a little over $500 in the machine.
anyway, I play thru $1000 coin-in to get a freebie. I'm up +$100.
I look over and he only has $200 left.
wow.. is it normal to be -$300 (using Wiz's simple strategy) in 200 hands?
(The theoretical return would be ~65%)
Even a low-variance game such as JoB can be as evil as something beyond you could imagine.
not normal, but a 30% loss of 1k coin in, is doable. FH adds 10%. approximately 10% for the Flush and straight combine. 5% on the 4k.Quote: 100xOddsI sat down at a single line $1 9/6 JoB machine and popped in a $100 bill.

3K 2pair and JOB adds 75%. You don't need to miss to many of the 3K 2pair and JOB hands to see a big loss.
In 200 hands its easy to not see a st, fl or fh
especially if they are gaffed ;)
Thanks Axel.

Very interesting character you are aladyat42.
Why 3 posts , nothing , then 3 years later back at it ?
Just curious, nothing wrong with it, just a bit out of the norm.
You left those unusual original 3 posts alone for a while.
I looked them up.
Now they are deleted.
Interesting. Luckily I saved them in another thread.
Any comments on why you deleted those posts?
Here it is if you need a reminder of what you deleted.

Then my sister gfound out OMG

You need to save that luck for bonus poker deluxe $5 denomination 11kQuote: RSI got six 4oaks on 9/6 JoB within a few hundred hands. Maximum of 600 hands ($30,000 coin in on 1x$10), but the first 3-400 hands I got nothing. Ended up playing for about 2 hours....much of that time allocated on waiting on hand pays ($1u250 for the 4oak).

Variance was good to me yesterday night, I got four 4oak's in a couple of hours playing $1x5 9/6 VP. I was keeping an eye on how many tier credits I earned because there was a promotional drawing, but I don't know exactly how many hands I played. But it was probably about 1.5 hour's worth and the end result was that I cashed out up $ 500. It was pretty good night right from the get-go, I started with a $ 20 buy-in.
Get this, JohnnyQ ... I actually won one of those drawings. $500 Free Play! Of course, it was at Horseshoe Baltimore, not Horseshoe Cleveland. I think that was my first drawing win. I was on the winning "team" for some goofy slot tournament at Horseshoe Cleveland, though -- think that was about $600.Quote: JohnnyQVariance was good to me yesterday night, I got four 4oak's in a couple of hours playing $1x5 9/6 VP.
