I hit a royal flush on the software and thought, "Damn, now my RF cycle restarts and I won't hit one for another 40,000 hands", semi-superstitiously.
I went on to play my marathon session (about 10,000 hands) and hit a royal. I played another long session a few days later and hit 3 royals that day (about 15,000-20,000 hands I'm guessing, since I played 2 different games at different denominations, and one of them had a multiplier option.....so I can't just divide my coin-in number by average bet).
And I hit another RF not too long ago (but that was about 40,000 hands, on multi-line though so it was an easy play and within expectation).
Used to primarily play single line at a higher denom. But lately have been playing multi-line at a lower denom. The difference in variance is tremendous and I'm definitely a much bigger fan of multi-line now. Too bad lots of stores only have the good pay-tables on single line and not such good paytables on multi-line. =\

Ain't that the truth...
What do you like for multi-line? 3, 5, 10, other?
I used to count my Royal scares before 5 play and flash credits (just for fun) Nowadays I don't really bother. But, I suggest new AP VP players do for a while, just to get a sense of how they are running. I guess some guys use their players cards to figure out exactly how many hands they went in between. Some even log 4oak.Quote: RSI was practicing my VP skillz on Video Poker for Winners because I was going to play a marathon session the next day and wanted to make sure I was still on my A-game.

I like 20 line for quarters, 10 line for halves. If available I'd like to play hundred play for nickels, but having full pay hundred line and the ability to AP it....not too likely (although there is one I play occasionally).
just wait till you get raped on that. then tell me it's your favorite.Quote: RSI like 20 line for quarters, 10 line for halves. That is interesting. I've had my best results on 3 line.

It's much harder to get raped on 20 line than on single line (with same total bet).
For which reason would you prefer SL over ML, assuming the same amount is bet on both machines, same return, and same amount of hours/minutes to make the play (if you're playing for mail offers)? Not talking about the other kinda stuff you do (but even with that stuff, playing ML, I think, would still be better).
