For example:
- straight with no jokers is paid 2 for 1;
- straight with 1 joker is paid 4 for 1;
- straight with 2 jokers is paid 8 for 1.
Any response will be appreciated.

Quote: VPRookieIs there any VP software that can analyze joker games where the payoff of the hand depends on the number of jokers in the winning hand?

- straight with 2 jokers is paid 8 for 1.

I don't think there is any software on the market that will fully analyze this game for you. It would take some time but someone who is good enough at combinatorial math could figure it out. The big question is what is the payback of the game. Is it worth the effort?
What is the rest of the payscale? Are other hands like flushes, full houses, 4 of a Kinds payed the same way? Do you mind me asking what the name of the game is?

One cannot know the payout before analyzing is done. And only then one will know if it is worth the effort. This is why I am looking for software to save my efforts in case payout is bad. And in the future I can come across such games and hopefully find some errors in paytables that could give me an edge.

Well, this is an online game by Boss Media. The name of the game is "Spot of Luck".
Here is the paytable:
Poker Hand: no jokers; 1 joker; 2 jokers
Natural Royal Flush: 800; 800; 800
Wild Royal Flush: 50; 100; 200
Five of a Kind: 24 (1); 48 (2); 96 (3)
Straight Flush: 10; 20; 40
Four of a Kind: 5; 10; 20
Full House: 3; 6
Flush: 2; 4; 8
Straight: 2; 4; 8
Three of a Kind: 1; 2; 4
(1) 24 (Den. 0.25), 25 (Den. 0.5), 26 (Den. 1.00), 27 (Den. 5.00)
(2) 48 (Den. 0.25), 50 (Den. 0.5), 52 (Den. 1.00), 54 (Den. 5.00)
(3) 96 (Den. 0.25), 100 (Den. 0.5), 104 (Den. 1.00), 108 (Den. 5.00)
But if you just take the no joker pays and shove it into a jacks or better game, you get 20.93%, so the other two pays are probably worth a lot more. Which isn't that surprising really.
But for the four paytables, I get the following results:
Five of a Kind pays | Return |
---|---|
48/96 | 97.0851% |
50/100 | 97.2253% |
52/104 | 97.3655% |
54/108 | 97.5057% |
Quote: JBThere is no Five of a Kind or Wild Royal Flush with zero jokers, so I'm not sure why they included payouts for those.
Probably to keep the paytable from having blanks.
Payouts look like what you would expect. Thanks JB!
