Ex. Suppose its your first hand and your currently on the lowest pay table (ie you haven't leveled up at all yet); You are then dealt A,J,K,4,4...........Optimal strategy for the regular JoB demands that you hold the 4,4 (low pair). On the other hand, by doing this your greatly decreasing your chances of leveling up by not choosing A,J,K (which has a smaller payout EV, but a higher chance of hitting than the low pair). What is the correct stategy?

I've never played it, but I believe Level-Up (available at some online casinos) is the same as Multi-Strike. Therefore, this article from the Wizard should help:

By the way, it looks like JK would be the correct hold for 9/6 Jacks or Better.

Thanks sending the link gpac1377; Yes its the same as Multi-Strike. 32Red casino has it, but they called it "Level-Up" for some reason.

Anyways that has got to be the hardest "basic" strategy I have ever seen. They have a different strategy table for each of the four dealt hands!! On the plus side, it has an return of 99.79%, which is a better return than most online vp games these days!

IGT has a trademark on the "Multi-Strike" name, so Microgaming is being polite, I guess.

The difficulty is probably a necessary evil because the casino can't profitably offer a game that returns 99.79% to all players. With a game like Level-Up, you can enjoy a near-perfect return, while casual players may only achieve 95 or 96%, keeping the casino happy.
