I ran into a Sneak Peek video poker game in a casino recently. I haven't seen that game in about 15 years. Just wondering if anyone here can point me to an analysis of the paytables offered. I don't see it on the Wizardofodds.com site. I believe it was made by either WMS or Sigma.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I tried to google this. I couldnt find any analysis, but it was made by sigma.
Unfortunately, it would take some tinkering of traditional video poker calculator code, and since it wasn't very popular, I doubt the Wizard or anyone else got around to it. But I would be curious to what the paytable was at the casino you saw it at.

Sneak Peek video poker is by Sigma, copyright 1998. I played it this month at the Cal-Nev-Ari Casino.

Assuming the pay table is:
RSF 800
SF 30
4 Aces 80
4 2-4 50
4 5-K 20
FH 7
FL 5
STR 3
3K 2
2 Pair 1
JorB 1
and the maximum bet is 5 coins, the EV is 0.992387054368. Not too shabby.

How does the Sneak Peek feature work?
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

Except in this game, you don't need to pay an extra 2 credits to enable the "sneak peek card"—you play only 1 to 5 coins, as usual.

So, this calculated result includes the peek at the first drawn card with strategy adjustments? That's pretty impressive, if it's so!

Thank you! I hope to publish Gary's full return table tomorrow, but here is what I've got so far: Sneak Peek.
Let me know if you prefer a different attribution at the bottom.
