Does anyone have any experiences, knowledge, or theories to share?
My understanding is that they try and verify your ADT with one of your current casinos prior to giving you a comp.

We're the offers any Good? How willing was your casino to give up your ADT information?

Lots of cruise line offers and some BJ and slot tournaments. Again, I never used it but my understanding is that they have connections at most properties and are able to find out your ADT.
The one thing i do not like about them is that the emails you receive with offers are not tailored to you. It is a generic list that you may or may not qualify for.
When you sign up or whatever. Are you giving them the rights to contact the other casinos or search your information?Quote: DRichLots of cruise line offers and some BJ and slot tournaments. Do casinos have any responsibility to protect your information?
I would never want to play at a casino that gave other people my information unless I specifically said it was ok.
I have no idea how this place makes money. I bet you can get the same or a better deal than they can get you overall. Perhaps a small player might get a group discount deal/comp from them that they dont really deserve.

I found that to be a red flag too. Casinos giving other Casinos personal information about a Player without permission of said Player? No, just no! In fact, hell no! The ONLY time this MIGHT be acceptable is if said Player was a TITO thief
Someone on another website admitted they took a seemingly abandoned TITO worth over $70 out of a slot and attempted to cash it in after losing their own money and was caught by a Casino Employee who was watching the machine for the real owner of the TITO who had been in the bathroom. The thief said he was forced to give it back to the actual Player and then banned for a week for attempted TITO theft)
A woman on another website said something like she was playing China Shores and was just about to choose Free Spins when a hand came out of nowhere and pressed,"Cash Prize," and it cashed the bare minimum. Ge thought "Cash Prize," meant the TITO would slide out so he could steal it. He didn't know how China Shores game worked. She was beyond pissed off that some stranger touched her machine and cost her money and she beat up the stranger. It turned out this stranger had been cashing out random TITO's all day and had been reported against by other pissed off Players. The Casino threw the guy out after she beat him up and they apologized for him costing her what should have been a really fun game. IIRC they gave her in free play the estimate of what she would have won had he not interrupted.
Or a points thief(A guy on a website said someone attempted to steal his points by putting his Player's Club Card in the machine he was playing at without his permission. The attempted Victim cussed him out and broke his Player's Club Card in half. He said,"I was not going to give some stranger MY points. He implied he had his own Player's Club Card, just didn't have it in the machine yet.
These two type of people deserve to be reported to other Casinos, the TITO thief being the most red flag of the two.

What the hell does any of that have to do with urcomp. Go hijack a different thread with your rambling.

I went off on a tangent on the Casinos giving other Casinos Player's personal information without said Player's permission because someone mentioned he would feel uncomfortable with Casinos sharing his personal information with other Casinos without his permission. . I mentioned how wrong that was to do that and then mentioned how Casinos sharing personal information about Players might be acceptable if a Player was a TITO thief or a points thief.

Stop it. Just stop. He quoted you, so he read it the first time. There is no excuse for hijacking in the first place, let alone repeating yourself.
Last warning. I will start suspending you next time you do this.
It would have been fine for you to post the rant in your own thread, btw. You hijack yourself over there all the time, might as well have at it with this. But this thread is not about you, or petty thieves, or anything other than URComped.
Plus Nathan might be a woman. If you, Oncedear, and Nathan battled for a pantsuit, my money would go on Nathan, never turn down 10,000/1 odds. :&)Quote: beachbumbabsStop it. Just stop. Let me try again (with apologies to the few who actually gave me an answer).
Has anyone ever used or even heard of URComped.

Well, unavoidably sounding like a sactimonious b!#/h in saying so, this thread deterioration is why we object to hijacking. So maybe that will improve down the road. Maybe not.
I have never heard of URComped. Seems like it could be a useful service, but it's also a third-party cost that ends up coming out of your pocket, via the casino paying them to provide leads for players. (I would think: no other business model makes sense.)
OTOH, they should have a line into many non-major casinos and promotions, and if you WANT to be hit with all those emails (and many do), it might be worth signing up.
I would think part of the sign-up would be granting them permission to inquire and snoop into your current accounts. I'm not real sure I want that part, either giving them access to that info, collating my play across competitor businesses, or who knows what-all they will do with your personal information now or in the future.
Lots of money to be made with valid email lists to people with discretionary funds. Gambling or not-gambling offers. They just sell the list to one other vendor, that one sells to 3 others, etc. And pretty soon you get 100 spams a day or more, going who the .... is this company and where did they get my name, and playing whack-a-mole unsubscribing.
No thanks.
Seems like a negative situation like Babs said. You are just paying for a 3rd party to get u what already is coming your way
If your ADT is bad you are not going to get comped well. And if they are cross-referencing properties your ADT may very well be pulled down from a property you actually prefer
For an AP that service probably isnt good for the reasons mentioned in this thread. For a rec like me if can be very good.
I sent him one of my cruise offers and he sent me an offer on MSC for a free cruise. My ncl cruise costs about 700 for 2. The MSC cruise is 100% free. I haven't done it and not sure that I will.
Quote: GWAEI do know a little about him. He is a good guy and his company has a decent rep. If you send him a flyer that gives you $500 free play and 3 nights in a suite he will reach out to his contacts and find you an up front offer that is comparable. You might get something like middle of Indiana with a good offer. If you give them the play that they expected then I believe urconped gets some money out of it. If you burn them and just pick up the free play then he will not get you any other offers.

Thanks for some real-life info. Glad to hear it's legit.

So the concept then, if I understand it correctly, is that he shops you around and has casinos bid on your business. Not a bad idea, however, the end result is that you're spreading your money around and you're less likely to build loyalty to a brand and end up in a lower tier.

yep that is probably exactly what happens. Where I would find him useful is if I had a good run at my local and they dished out a ton of free play. Send it to him and let him get me a good up front offer. However, with some work you could probably just do the same. If I send a flyer with 1k in free play to a bunch of hosts I bet at least one of them offers you something.
Actually a former WOV member did this and is where he made a lot of his money. I am not sure how may other APs do it but I will probably end up with a few PMs if this is an active way to get offers.

Imho as an AP I would stay away from this
If this guy makes money based on play requirements and is burned and he has all those casino contacts better believe your name and promo abuse will become synonymous
Best not to have a multi-casino contact If you are APing comps

Yep agreed 100%. An actual AP should never need this service a anyways
It would probably be good for someone like AOS.Quote: GWAEYep agreed 100%. An actual AP should never need this service a anyways
There is probably a way for an AP to game their system but it may not be worth the long-term risk.
Djatc had the right idea, perhaps you could get in good with them and they give you more information than they should.

I think it would take some good "swindling" that someone we all know well could do. UC is not going to give this info out easily.
AP could probably game the system if they got an offer at a property that they were planning on hitting anyways. But a free play pick up would definitely put that AP at risk since UC probably has some power in getting you flyered if you pissed him off.
