The new, Mohegan Sun-backed Ilani casino opened up in La Center last spring, it's only a mile or two from the existing privately owned cardrooms in town.
Needless to say they are hurting due to the glitzy new beast up the road from them now.
Ilani, for whatever reason, chose not to offer poker, so the smaller La Center casinos still have that to themselves.

The weather here is just downright nasty today. My car was not happy. I can’t get out of this city fast enough. Only a couple more days and I’ll be in a nice warm climate.
