We made a quick trip to Mohegan Sun Pocono on Friday (12/30) night. Our primary purpose was a nice dinner at Rustic Kitchen. The dinner was quite good. My wife and I both had the stuffed shrimp and our friends each had the scallops. We try to go to Rustic Kitchen whenever we visit the area. We highly recommend it.
As for BJ, I only played for about an hour and ended up $5 (woo hoo). As always they had a packed $5 table out of a CSM which I avoid like the plague! Most other tables were $15 with a couple of CSM but most out of shoes. There was also a couple of $25 games. They have the Blazing 7's progressive bit which NO ONE was playing. (Jackpot was around 138,000 so it was very negative EV). They also have the lucky ladies side bet which was getting some play.
The regular dealer was a bit "blah" but the relief dealer was quite engaging, sorry to say we only had him for 20 minutes. When I sat down there was just 3 of us at the table though by the time I left the table was full. I would have liked to play for a bit longer but it was time for our reservation and then we had other plans after dinner.

Sounds like a fun little trip... Up is up, and not down =P. How big were the scallops (which was the main course, right)? I love scallops but hate paying $50 for what I consider an "appetizer" portion that leaves me still hungry =/. I don't mind paying more, but then at least feed me!
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Up is definitely up :-) - Yes the scallops and shrimp were the main course. I'm not sure how many scallops there were (my friends had those) over a bed of risotto with green beans as a side. There were 6 large stuffed shrimp with roasted potatoes and the green beans. Again quite filling. Each entree was less than $30, so we were quite satisfied with both the portion size and the price.

for some reason I find that one of the smokiest casinos. the rooms however are quite clean and they seem to comp them for almost no play. I use to get 250 offers there 10 times a month. Haven't played in forever so down to 5 dollars but they still send free rooms. Awful to get to in the snow though
No longer hiring, don’t ask because I won’t hire you either

I've never stayed in a room there (our friends live 20 minutes away and always provide a free room :) ), but they send me free room offers quite frequently. My play is often limited to just an hour of so at the $10 or $15 minimum level. 1/2 there tables are in the "Non-smoking" side and I try to find a spot there. You are certainly right about the snow!!!
