This may be my last trip for a while. I need a trip to come out ahead instead of dropping money overall. I kind of held my own the last trip but still left down overall. A win would sure feel nice this time. Wish me luck!!
Quote: Mikey75I'm headed for another trip this weekend. I'll arrive in Tunica in a couple hours or so. If anyone has any specific questions about T town I can probably answer them over the next couple of days.

Quote: odiousgambitWhich casino had UX and what did the videopoker paytables look like generally there?
Gold Strike, Horseshoe, and Roadhouse all have UX. There are only a few machines at each place though. Pay tables aren't great. I don't play a lot of VP and I haven't checked close in a while but most are around 97 to 98 I think. RH used to have some 99.8 but sadly they changed their payables.
You say "for the weekend" so I assume you are still there
I get the impression there is Mississippi Stud but no Ultimate Texas Holdem in Tunica - have you seen any UTH?
I'm fixing to ride and check out some of the other places here. I haven't been anywhere outside of the casino center in a while. There are some other casinos fairly close to each other but GS, HS, and RH are the only ones really close enough to walk to.
Just made a quick stroll through Fitz. Didn't take long to remember why I don't care for the place. Nothing but slots. No UX, at least not that I could find, a small handful of VP machines and a whole lot of slots. Their flame to fame used to be $3 min on craps. Only one craps table open and it was a $5 min. They did have three BJ tables open and one of them was double deck at $10 min. Two 8 deck $5 mins and also a 3 card poker table at $5. The place is empty compared to HS and GS.
Now onto Sam's Town.
There's duck hunters, with shotguns.
Take the armored truck, it's only a couple bucks more.

GS, HS, Roadhouse has the most UX. Bally's, Hollywood, and Sam's Town also have them, but fewer units. Most games are pretty poor though. Not sure if anyone has 9/5 DDB UX or better at quarters. Maybe at Sam's Town, but not sure of that. Definitely no full pay UX, or STP for that matter unless you consider 9/5 JoB w/Double STP in Mississippi "full pay" (9/6 w/DSTP is illegal there since it's > 100%). :(
If you are speaking VP generally, VPFree2 is fairly up to date there. Most casinos still have one or two decent games (especially if you are willing to play dollars) and since no one cares much about VP in Tunica, they are usually not too difficult to get on.
The Shoe, Roadhouse, and Gold Strike all offer 9/7 DB, 9/6 DDB for $1+. The Strike also offers 9/7 TDB at that level; Roadhouse offers a 9/6 JoB progressive for 100 pennies (sometimes positive). Ballys has Airport Deuces and 9/6 DDB for dollars. Along with the aforemented DSTP game, Sam's town has regular 9/6 JoB for quarters-dollars, including quarter bartops. Resorts has a 15/10 Double Deuces w/progressive royal at the Stage Bar (sometimes positive). Fitz has 9/6 JoB quarter coin-droppers and 8/5 Super Aces dollar coin droppers. The only casino that is totally a wasteland is Hollywood.

Yeah no UX at Fitz, they only have one STP machine too. $3 craps/blackjack is only on Mondays?/Tuesdays now. You should have seen the place on St. Pat's though. God, it was a zoo.

Thanks for straightening me out on VP Trig. You certainly know your stuff when it comes to VP.
Just hit a UX for a grand $8 at Samstown. Fixing to check out Resorts now.

Trig really knows his VP. He knows Tunica as well. He is the go to guy if you need VP advice.
Quote: Mikey75Played a up and down session of craps. Was down $50 then up $50. Finally left the table down $25. I am still $30 up for the trip. My wife has lost $300 at last count though!!!! Looks like we're leaving in the red again.
Uh oh...slots?
I won $169 on a slot machine!! I never play slots. However I have found one I like. I slipped $40 into it and took it up to $200 and cashed out!! But before that I lost $100 playing craps and BJ. I'm even and I think my wife is only $150 or so in the hole now.
Quote: Mikey75I know the odds aren't the best but it's like VP on crack cocaine
It's having to play at least 3 lines - which makes sense in a way - that keeps me from just sitting down and playing.
Quote: Mikey75I actually played UX for a while last night. I think I may be addicted!! I know the odds aren't the best but it's like VP on crack cocaine. I took $5 up to $20 and then took $20 to $50. It was a pretty good night for me. I'm leaving $100 up my wife is $250 down. If we could only catch the streaks together!!
Seriously vulturing has been the worst thing for me. I went to cssino last weekeND to play VP. Normally I would play single line quarters but ux was calling. I blew $150 in what seemed like 14 minutes. I almost kept playing but decided to put the last 150 in JOb/DDB quarters. I ended up playing almost 2 hours before bust.
The man that was playing beside me hit quads on a multiplier line and won 8000 nickels. I'll definitely slip a $20 in the next time a play and see what happens again.
Quote: Mikey75I was playing nickels. I was at a bar top and playing slow just to get free beer. I thought I would try playing max for a few and see what happened. That's when I hit a couple of decent multipliers and run up a bit.

I have yet to have a huge score on nickles. I did see a guy hit 44,000 nickles this weekend on a royal with 11x.
I am glad I at least have the discipline to not play at all on days where I vulture. I have seen many times where the vulture will win some on the vulture but never leaves the machine with any money.

That's a nice hit for a nickel machine!!

You mean a normal player that sits down with multipliers available, or a vulturer that just bets 10 coins until they brick out?
I saw a 12X royal in Tunica last year for $2400 by a guy who drew 2, couldn't believe it. My biggest hit on nickels is my last royal with no multiplier. Biggest multiplier hit on nickels is a 250 credit quad at 4X I believe.

It was just a guy playing. He was on a 10 play and royal was on 8th game holding 3.
I don't play UX a lot but I have 2 royals both on nickles. 1 while vulturing with a 2x. the other while playing normal and no multiplier.
