I am going to do a little trip report for this next ten days. I am flying into Vegas today and then tomorrow I am driving up to northern Nevada to do some chip collecting. Friday to Monday will be the WoV Sprintg Fling festivities capped by my attempt to eat 100 chicken McNuggets.
I hope to keep everyone interested while at the same time enjoying some positive variance. Gl to everyone heading to Vegas this week.

Best of luck to you as well, and plan to see you this weekend!
As always, pictures make the report =D. Maybe others that are going this/next week can post some cool/fun pictures as well? After all there should be a lot of us out of towners in vegas as well.

I will add any pictures that I have when I get home in a couple weeks as I don't think it would work from my iPhone. I would love others to post their WoV Spring Fling pics here as well. The more the merrier.

Just landed at McCarran and got my luggage. Needed to break a $100 for taxi money so I played deuces wild and won $5, woot! Up for the trip I'm taking the next flight home... Jk.

I am jealous of all the WOV members that are gathering for the 2016 Spring Fling. I hope you all have a marvelous time, and maybe win a buck or two. I asked could I go, I didn't even get an answer if I recall, just one of those stern looks. No surprise, 2015 ended on a serious downswing for the Feathered One, and Sparkles doesn't understand the swings, and is mostly cooperative, so I'm OK, just jealous. I look forward to any trip reports with or without pics and video. Have fun!Quote: PokerGrinderI am going to do a little trip report for this next ten days. Romes my phone won't upload to imgur right now so for the moment I am pictureless.
Yesterday was a tame day. I stayed at the Longhorn Casino for one night before heading to Reno today because I had to make my way there to replace my $1 token with a new chip anyways. For $30 the hotel was fine but I can't see myself voluntarily staying there again.
Now on to the gambling. I won $45 at Longhorn which included a free ace card and a $5 match play for staying at the hotel. I got a BJ on the ace card and lost the match play so profit was $2.50 lol. Turned $5 FP into... wait for it... $5 :)
Next I went across the street to Eastside Cannery, I had been there once before to collect a chip but didn't sign up for a card. I did this time and won $15 off $15 of FP, I know super exciting. All together I was up $177 at Eastside. Then I made the mistake of going to Sam's Town to play poker. They were only running 2-6 spread which can I refuse to play so instead I lost $180 on sides. Whoops! I went back to Longhorn and played some more BJ before crashing for the night. They had a promo where a suited BJ gets you a six pack of pop. Well I now have 18 cans of Diet Pepsi. They also have a rule that you can double on three cards, not sure what that brings a normal BJ house edge down to but I benefitted from it a couple times.
This morning I played $2 BJ at Longhorn and ran terrible losing $60 in the process. Tough to lose that much betting $2. I walked to Sam's Town and lost $40 on VP before breakfast. The day was not starting out well. I ate breakfast for $4 at the buffet, normally $6 but apparently I had $2 in comps from when I was at the Blue Chip Casino years ago in Michigan City, IN.
After breakfast I played $5 DD and won $95 so we are almost even for the day again.
In about two hours I will go pick up my rental car and drive to Reno hitting about 8 casinos on the way. Hopefully the gambling G-ds are nice to me today. Btw craps is evil played it twice yesterday and let's just say my butt hurt after very short sessions.
Gambling +$47
Chips collected - 8 (1 for me)
$30 FP = $22.50

You are living large my friend, living large. I hope you survive the McNuggets challenge, win or lose. Win is better, but don't kill yourself in the process. I think they set you up, and I suspect you knew that, and that fact makes you a good sport. I think you'll lose. I haven't wagered yet, but for long odds I could still bet on you. Either, whatever way, I'm rootin' for you. Burn down the house!

Ok so my plans for yesterday were hit all my casino stops and get to Reno around 1 am and play a poker session... this did not happen.
I played too long at a few places and had a gps screw up and then lost another 20 minutes when I forgot my drivers licence at a casino and had to go back (I've never done that before). But I'm skipping ahead.
Last I left this thread I was going to pick up my rental car. While I waited I won $23 on penny slots at Longhorn and cashed out my points for another $5. On my way out of Vegas I stopped at Texas Staton to use some match play, I lost the match play and proceeded to also lose fifty bucks, shouldn't have stopped I guess. I got to Beatty, NV and stopped at Stagcoach Casino. I had been there years ago but only took a dollar coin and I really hate those so I got a $5 chip. I had planned on only playing shortly but I ended up playing VP, losing $180 before eventually breaking even almost a hour later.
I got to Pioneer Crossing Casino in Yerington while trying to figure out why the ceiling light in my rental car won't turn off. I still haven't figured it out but it does go off after the car is off for 30 minutes or so. I'm going to enterprise soon to get it dealt with. Pioneer crossing stole a hour from me as well. I got stuck early playing BJ before hitting a run to get even again. That seemed to be the theme of the day.
This is where my gps took me for a ride. I punched in the address for the Topaz Lodge and it took me to the Carson Valley Inn. I still don't understand how or why. I was planning on stopping there anyways but now I had to drive 30 miles south to Topaz and then retrace my steps back north losing a lot of time. At Carson Valley I played my FP for a $10 profit and broke even on one shoe of DD. At Topaz I had to buy chips cause they had closed their tables for the night. I played through $5 FP, winning $7 and $13 overall. As I was leaving two drunk friends were beating the crap out of each other. I got the hell out of there as they were planning on driving and I wanted to be far away when they did. Ten minutes down the road I realized I didn't have my drivers licence, swore a bunch and went back. By the time I got back the sheriff was dealing with the drunks and I was able to get my licence mostly drama free.
Next stop was the new Hard Rock in Lake Tahoe, I actually made a quick stop here winning $25 although I should have left when I was up almost $80, oh well. I got to the Nugget in Sparks where I was staying around 2:30 am and checked into a very nice room for only $50. Went downstairs to grab food since I had missed dinner many hours earlier. Surprisingly the $6 steak and eggs was really good, I am always scared of food being so inexpensive. I won $22 while waiting for my food. All together a good day. I didn't lose much other than time.
I collected 21 chips today, one is a $5 chip and I won $43 for the day. Off to Wendover today.
Gambling +$90
Chips collected - 29 (6 for me)
$60 FP = $44.50

Now I think maybe you can eat 110, is there still action available?
Sweet TR, so far.
You got a favorite sauce, or just planing to mix them up as you go?
Burn down the house.

Cool. I love, love that drive from LV to Reno. Most beautiful drive in the country, IMO.

You could be right. It's pretty spectacular approaching from the Sacramento Valley, too. But I would put US20 through Washington State (east to west is best) right up there for most beautiful drive in the US.

Driving through Montana into Canada I think is still the most beautiful drive. Driving through Incline Village in northern Nevada is really pretty too.

If your GPS tells you to go through Carson City to get from Reno to Tahoe, you just ignore it and take Mt. Rose Highway to Incline, then follow the shore down to Tahoe! You'll be glad you did!

CasinoCity.com doesn't list a Delta Casino anywhere in Nevada. It only lists three current casinos in Virginia City, and none of them have table games. No idea whether there are any slots there that use tokens.
On my only visit to Virginia City I did not find any chips.

I think it's the Delta Saloon at the corner of Union and C Street. Google Maps says it has slots.
