Back in January of this year, I've decided to finally attempt "The Coupon Trip". 5 days to visit every casino (On the strip and Downtown) and take advantage of every single coupon I can get my hands on.
This wasn't a completely AP trip, I was too stubborn to play video poker and purposefully went for slots, if only to simulate what a normal Vegas would-be would do.
At any rate, I wrote this VERY excessive essay on the subject.
Do let me know if I've made a serious error like forgetting the Slotsterium Casino in the middle of the strip, or if I was just too rambling throughout (which I probably was) (Also, pictures and charts. Everyone loves pictures and charts).
Feel free to use any of the information I've gathered how you wish, I hold no copyright or share restriction of any kind on the information listed there.
Also, thanks to Mission146 who helped answering some annoying questions I've had prior to the trip.
On to the next chore!

I love this country!
Wouldn't you rather go by David Kogler? ;) Sounds like they passed your name through whiteamericannamegenerator.com
I'd be interested to hear about those huge slot hits at SLS and Venetian.
I don't recall what I got on the SLS, I'm assuming a free spins bonus that really paid off.
The only thing I'd have done differently is called about the new Player's Club Member offers first. I probably burned out more casinos than I should have doing my Article and getting low Free Play amounts when a better new Member promotion might have come about at a later time...but I wouldn't be a new member anymore.
I definitely wouldn't have signed up at the ones that had no FP or MP.
But, still, that was a tremendous read and it sounds like you had a great time.
Considering I had to get a players club for any casino I've had a coupon for, burnouts were - Grazie (Venetian+Palazzo), Treasure Island, Wynn, Total Rewards, Stratosphere and Cosmopolitan
With very few exceptions, I was not made aware of sign up benefits until after I've signed up.
You'd think the casinos would post up a huge sign saying "Come on in, first $5 are on us. We have air conditioning!" like Tuscany and Best Western did.
Unless I misread it, you skipped out on signing up for casino royale? A $20 instant loss rebate is the best thing they will probably ever give out given their location and value niche.
I though he said he couldn't be bothered.Quote: tringlomaneNice writeup!

I wouldn't discount CR, they have had some very strong bonuses.

Considering all the other places he ran around to, I'm surprised $17-$18 of equity in about that many minutes of time wasn't worth it to him.

Quote: JoeZAgreed, but that particular promotion didn't really fit in with their method of gambling for this trip -- the matchplay and single $1 slot bets. But you're right, it is a decent promotion.
I was referring to the person who referenced the promotion at Casino Royale.
Quote: JoeZHow did you get the dollar chips, did you go to a table and ask for some singles and then just keep one? Did you do any other 'serious' gambling' while there, as an aside, or was it all the dollar bets and coupon bets? When you played the matchplay coupons would you only make the single bet or did you stay for a few more bets?
I had a very strict plan to only bet what I needed for the coupons, the challenge and chips, completely avoiding actual gambling at all costs.
Here's a rough transcript of one of the first casinos I've been to that had a $15 min limit on all tables and no coupons:
*Puts $1 on a big wheel table*
Me: Hi, can I get a $1 chip?
Elderly dealer: Huh?
Me(louder): Can I just get a $1 chip?
Dealer: It's a $2 minimum.
Me: I know, can I just get 1 chip.
*dealer puts $1 chip down*
Me: Thanks
I've never done it again afterwards. Instead I just bought in for the minimum (or more, if I actually wanted to play) plus 1 dollar and just pocketed the dollar without wasting it on a silly side bet.
And yes, going to so many casinos is insane. Especially on foot. Did I mention Vegas is hot?
