All the creepy crawly stuff aside, what the hell happened?
Tell me Ace won, tell me Ace lost, tell me something!
I'm just hanging here......

Ok, yawn
Admittedly if I happen to see someone who claims to be some bigtime bettor with a"winning system", red chipping. I would probably call BS. But skulking around watching someone is fairly shady.
PS. It may be unconventional but I don't see anything wrong with Bob posting up AOS TR if that's what AOS wants.

Ace is done giving reports? Soooo... This thread is over, then?

Yup

I asked him if I could do it and he
said sure. For some reason it really
freaked some of the more squeamish
here, so it's been stopped. You can
all relax now, Ace is gone.

Quote: ArtemisAce has been in a losing streak, especially true with a Latino relief dealer. Of the 20 hands I saw, he was beaten 15 hands, pushed 1, and won 4. I kid you not.
Wow! Do you not see how creepy this is?
I can confirm that Bob had Ace's permission to post his TR. I got that from Ace.
But this would certainly freak me out. And yeah, it freaked him out.
He's already being stalked by some guy who cleans spills for a living. (Allegedly)
Allegedly cleans spills, not stalking.
I don't blame him for stopping the reports.

I was stalked in Vegas 9 years ago and
it freaked me out for sure. Ace is gone,
his name is in red, he's had enough.
It was the outpouring of support here
(sarcasm) that put him over the top.
Congrats..
ps:
And you know what, I don't put Artemis in that 0.1% category. I think he just happened to be there, and chimed in his 2 cents. It was just the same as what EB was relaying. His post, imho, has been blown out of proportion.
Quote: Dicenor33It's impossible to comprehend the loss this site will suffer after the AOS has gone. Casino reports made me laugh and cry, I lost my sleep after worries of poor AOS loosing his fortunes, his unsuccessful attempts to attract female attention turned the world I lived in upside down. I've been amazed at true friendship between EB and AOS, the fireworks, thunder, tears of joy. How can we remember the man? It's sun on a horizon, Niagara Falls, roure66, Elvis Presley of blackjack.
Or as we like to say around here "I laughed, I cried, I stood up and cheered, 4 thumbs up !".
I see a bright future for you in the greeting card business..... Although I admit that a category of "Sorry you left the Forum" type of greeting card is going to have a smaller audience than "Happy Birthday".
Also, wouldn't it be the "Rodney Dangerfield of Blackjack" ?

Way out of proportion. Artemis is a frequent visitor to AC so it's not a stretch that he would be there the same time as ace. I don't see any stalking, spying or creepiness. The high limit room in the the Golden Nugget is usually very quiet and not the place for social visits by non players. Artemis says he watched 20 hands which is about 10 minutes. I took his comments as backing up ace's claims of consecutive losses, something that some here are skeptical of. My wife and I saw ace in Revel's Ultra Lounge and did not say hello. He wasn't playing but he was talking with a couple of people. We certainly weren't stalking.
Artemis, it looks like you have begun deleting your posts. Please don't do that. You have made some good contributions to this board.
If anyone wants to read about a previous stalker of ace, I brought up his "Farewell WoV boards" thread from March of 2013. Give it a read.

Yeah, right, isn't that EXACTLY what a stalker WOULD SAY ?
Just kidding, of course. I don't know AoS, and have never been to AC, but hopefully he (and you too) would appreciate this attempt at humor, IF he were still a member of the forum.
ps:
AoS is entitled to his privacy, and if in his view, the best way to protect that and along the lines of "better safe than sorry" is to leave the board, then I respect that and wish him the best.

My wife did find him to be quite handsome. Is that why she kept going to Revel? :-)

Exactly. No question in my mind that Artemis was offering first person validation that AoS actually experiences the kind of rotten runs that he says he does, and that more than a few folks on here have mocked him for, saying it wasn't possible he ran that bad. No stalking involved, and I agree it's awkward to approach someone socially at a table, especially if the cards are running badly at that time. I've met Ace, and even knowing him, I wouldn't dream of approaching him during a session like that.
A story: I have a high-roller friend with whom I took a multi-day trip last October, and he was ok with me sitting at the table during play for 20 minutes (though his girlfriend was there much of the time at his request, sitting at the table but not playing); I didn't talk to him unless he said something to me. Otherwise, the table was private and held staffed for him 24/7. One German guy hovered too close and was trying to talk to my friend, then his dealer, while he was playing. My friend looked at the PB (had one of his own watching just his table), asked if the guy could be moved back in a couple words (honestly I was surprised he had to ask but maybe they couldn't do something unless he did), and security came and took him entirely out of the HL room. The German threw a total s$%t fit right in the middle of the casino about being moved off, loud and obscene, waved his upper tier card in the casino manager's face, on and on. They let him scream as long as he liked, but they didn't allow him back in the HL room.
I'm also not a high-roller, and it's true that casinos will typically do whatever they want. Most whales prefer to play in private, but I recall a year or so ago a very public high-stakes blackjack session by someone on the main floor of the Bellagio. Just off the main walkway from the dice pit to the front desk, a fellow was sitting at a private table betting stacks of $5000 flag chips. No idea who he was but there was quite a crowd, clearly by design. I admit to gawking a bit to see what the fuss was about and while I was there he took out "another" marker for $250k.
Some people bust his balls (30 in a row, but different tables ..lol) however I haven't seen anything to mean spirited, at least not anything he shouldn't be able to handle.
Hell he wouldn't have as much fun if no one busted his balls a bit.
I disagreed with his take on the lack of support. Part of that this time may be due to AOS emotional in and out aspect.
I think just about every regular and some non regular members have shown support at least once in the past.
He can't expect everyone cry and beg for him to come back each time he announces he's leaving.
One person came out of retirement and supported voting him off the island, however I think that person just didn't like all the drama.
He obviously likes sharing his BJ adventures so take a break, man up, Ignore or block anyone you dislike and resume posting.
Ace will be back line set at 113 days.

I think it's different to chime in on someone who has mentioned stalking going on, then just coming across your average joe or jane gambler and mention what's going on live.
I don't think Artemis is the "stocker" you are looking for. lol Get it, I said stocker not stalker. bud a bump, Sometimes I just crack me up.
Good luck out there Ace. Say hi to "fang" for us.
Come on people, snap out of it. Step away from your keyboard or the "King" of bj,,,, gets busted out. : )
After it became apparent that B79 was not going to do his part to meet up and play out the bet that was talked about here, he should have been gone. Either play out the bet as made, be man enough to say that you can't do it and apologize, or go the heck away.
Anyway, AoS has taken a continual flow of harassment over the Speed Count, yet it really didn't phase him. What finally got to him was a member stalking him. I can't blame him for being a little leery of members seeing him and reporting on it here...even though there was no intent to stalk.
Good luck, AoS...continued success in your business and better luck at the tables. See ya around. Well...not really...but you know what I mean!

Not binding, but I'll take the under
What no one is mentioning though is this should be held as a prime example of what can go bad if you put too much information out into a mostly anonymous forum. Many of us have met other member(s) and it has been fun. But for the most part, those have been meetings where both parties have been exposing themselves to the other forum member (although I believe one or two have claimed to have witnessed a nugget challenge without introducing themselves to the rest of the group).
But in the case of Ace, he posted information about his professional career, and also posted links to videos with his name and face clearly visible. So now any forum member knew all they needed to know to be able to spot him. Then his trip reports were detailed enough that he would have been easy to find, if anyone so desired.
It is sad commentary on our US of A, but that is really too much information that has been made public knowledge. It is probably best that it ends this way, because it was probably only go to be a matter of time before some low life made AoS a victim of an armed robbery.
I'm thinking 1BB has had the right idea all along. It is best to just remain anonymous on an anonymous forum.
A private forum where only members can access and read posts, and all members are vetted for accurate information, would be better suited to divulging identifying information.

I suspect he cannot stay away, and that troubles me a little, but not a lot.
If I were a betting man, I'd place a fairly big bet on under 90 days, I'd give pretty good odds, even.
But since I already posted it, it ruins the experiment.
Back under rock....
Quote: quads4444Am I actually reading this correct. A lawyer, who contacted another member to post a trip report because he believes he is being stalked by another member that was proven by others to not be at a casino and not be a gambler?? WTF am I missing here. Contradiction to the 1,000 power!
I missed the part where you were proven to not be a gambler. There are lots of casinos in Iowa, Minnesota, and the Dakotas...
