So my cousin finally arrived and I got him checked in then we had dinner and I played for a couple of hours - couldn't make MonkeyFest as his flight was delayed (supposed to be here at 5 and didn't arrive until after 7pm and had to make sure I took care of his room and getting some food)

Sat down and bought in for 1500
That was gone in no time
Bought in for another 1k which proceeded to last me about two hours until I finally got 2300 of it back

Highlights/lowlights:
Lady at my table refused to hit 14, 15, or 16 EVER
I pushed a hand of 21 on 4 occasions
I pushed 3 Blackjacks
I was dealt 3 Blackjacks in a row at one point

By the end of the session I had gotten 2300 of the 2500 back

Took a break to watch my cousin play--he was losing at a 25min. Table - I went to use the restroom and he went on a run and is up about 100

I then played a mini-session
Won 5 of 6 hands at a double deck game

Just lost first 12 hands of the day at two different tables

Why do you always mention that it was at different tables? Other than the deck composition, it's no harder or easier to lose multiple hands in a row at one or two tables. We don't believe it anymore or less how many hands in a row someone won or lost dependent on number of tables it took to do so.

30 in row, on one table or 30 tables is equally believable.

I'm not sure how much you're up or down this trip, however its probably 5k less than you think

Well thats not exactly true in regards to blackjack. Losing a hand in blackjack makes it ever so slightly more likely you'll win the next hand based on the composition of the remaining cards left in the deck. This effect is negligible but that negligible effect may prove to be of some significance when you're talking losing 20 hands in a row at the same table.

Not sure if you are playing heads up or not, but it sounds like your stepping up your bets when losing. I'm not going to use the "tilt" word (Oops I did), and I am GLAD you won some back, but sometimes it pays to step back when losing that bad. But if you listened to me, you would have never gotten it back. So nevermind!

I talked about deck composition in my first post. we are still talking in the neighborhood of 1 in 2000000?

Well, off hand I would say, eg, that having to "take a break" usually implies from some bit of work which we do because we have to. To someone who's "happy", life is a break in which we have to do our unpleasant bits now and then. Stuff which we just go out and do to survive. "Getting it done," with breaks where necessary.

What we enjoy doing, or how we choose to define ourselves, goes on all the while. Sometimes, we're even the better for it.
