Was at the casino today and ventured back into the world of craps. I had started out playing video poker and was up about $75 on a $100 buy-in. I got lucky with a straight, flush, full house, and a couple of three of a kinds. Live poker tables had wait lists so I decided to check out the craps table.
Now keep in mind my craps streak has been horrible lately. I've been down massively life to date. Why do I still love it as a game of choice? I find it cool you can bet the don'ts or the pass. I can speed up or slow down my action depending on whether I like who is shooting. So many reasons.......
But lately, the mounting losses and quick busts have been causing me to avoid the craps tables. Today I stalked a table that was super hot. Shooter just hit a four point fire bet. I waited for the point to finish before buying in as courtesy. Naturally the shooter sevens out. Stickman calls me out to the pit for jumping in. Then proceeds to pass the dice to my left. I'm a little annoyed since I was betting for the shooter. The cold streak quickly follows. Everyone on the table is up over a grand and betting wildly at a $5/table. This cold streak takes me down to $60/from a $100 buy-in. My first roll is a dud and I seven out quickly.
When the dice comes.to me a second time its epic. I make 3 sevens and a yo on my come out. I hit 3 points. I use a betting strategy of inside, come bet, inside to odds, max 3 pts. I rally on my roll to be up $19, a $59pt swing. I tip the table $2, call it a night. Always nice to leave ahead and on your own hot roll. Had a good time.
The irony, the shooter who hit the four point fire was up 250 and bet against me shooting. My roll brought him back down to $20. We were both dice setting. Was it really a factor? Nope. The dice were.bouncing all over the place. The pit didnt even sweat the shooters cause the action was large, fast, and smooth. I was the only guy to tip. Maybe they were down more earlier. Guy to my left called for a marker, but he raked it big on my roll. I bet with $5, and you bet with $148 across with pressure.
I has happy to have a hot roll. Best 15 minutes ever.
