Not me, I feel fine.

My loss was a total River suck-out, and the main reason I don't play No Limit. Instead of staying and mercilessly pounding a weak table, (which that one surely was) I get irritated and leave. Had I been playing limit and just lost a few Max raises, I'd have definitely stuck around.

That and limited cash-on-hand, I suppose, that $100 was about all I wanted to risk.

Post the pic up for me......That's the game and seat you left. Honestly the game was not weak. They were just gambling and bluffing way more then they should have been. The button straddled 90% of the time . It was defiantly not an easy game(just a very valuable with high variance). ABC poker would get crushed. I had to bluff bluffers and pull it off. I had to play a tremendous amount of hands and make tons of moves. Anyone passive got eaten up. It really came down to trapping well. And knowing when a guy was bluffing with worst crap then what you had. The night/day ended heads up with the Chinese guy for about 1 hr. He had about 1500 and I had about 3500. I had KK he had QQ we got it all in on the flop queen hit the river. He was happy and wanted to stop. I still had a very good night on a $200 buy in.

Exactly, bluffing way more than they should have been = weak game. I don't have the pic anymore, though it should still be on your phone. I deleted all of my text messages and phone calls before I went home, obviously I didn't do anything questionable, but by deleting everything you prevent the possibility of anything ever being misinterpreted. I don't like answering questions, especially those that shouldn't need asking.

That's basically what happened, I trapped the guy with the inside fours because he led out with a $15 bet, I have no idea why the guy between us called. It was just a River suck-out, textbook, run-of-the-mill, but that's No-Limit Poker for you, and that's why I only play that game in tournaments. I had both players thoroughly dominated in the hand and should have made a bit over $200 on that one.

Again, I'm not upset about it anymore, time to reflect. I made the right play, they both made the wrong play, they needed to, "Get lucky," I needed to not be, "Unlucky," and I got unlucky. If I didn't want the possibility of that happening, then I don't sit at the table. I saw a player at that table that I felt was too drunk to remember his own name and wanted to focus on him, but everyone soft called pre-flop, and I ended up with a great hand after the turn.

I did the responsible thing by not buying in for more, and then again by not playing Craps later. I'd have been worse than the guys at that table had I bought back in while that thoroughly PO'ed.

February or March '15, haven't decided yet, but not April...too hot.

It's funny you say that, because just a couple of weekends later at the WoV meetup, it was actually pretty chilly for the first 2 days. It even rained on Saturday, the horror!

Mission, I noticed that 2 places gave you some grief for short rolls at the craps table, one even mentioning that you were "setting" the dice. Were you intentionally going for some short, influenced rolls? I only ask because I've never been given grief for this. Maybe because I don't play a lot of craps downtown, but usually it's just a polite "please hit the back wall" if I miss once or even three times in a row.

Of course it was intentional! Pascal's Wager. My theory is that dice setting probably doesn't really effectuate anything, in which event, doing it would neither help nor harm me. In the infinitesimally possible event that Flying-V combined with a short roll is helpful, then I'd be helping myself.

Actually I'm more agnostic on the subject of dice influencing...I'm open to believing that someone, somewhere might be able to do it given enough practice and the right conditions. But knowing myself and my dismal level of hand-eye coordination, that person is never going to be me.

I have met someone that I truley believe could influence the dice. However along with aces and eights I don't believe I could ever do it. Still doesn't stop me from setting the dice and it's funny when they start telling you to back up after you've made the same number several times in a row.

Lol. All these comments are funny. Thing is I didn't make hardly anything off of that roll. I was playing red with a single red in odds. There was one other player at the table when I joined. He wasn't to happy because I was at "his" table. After the dealer asked me to back up, I tossed and had one die roll all the way to the back wall but it didn't touch the back wall. Of course immediately I got "the dice have got to hit the back wall" treatment. The other player at the table tell the dealer to kick me off of the table. The dealer says "if he does that again I will". Now I'm not a person that enjoys or likes confrontation. This was the only time I've ever had a confrontation with a dealer. I stopped play and asked him point blank what I was doing that was so wrong. I stated that I move back when he asked me to (he had already made me step back a second time) and I was very polite about it until now. I asked him why he was threatening to removed from the table when I had done everything he asked. He then said I was ok that there was no problems he was talking about removing someone else. There was only two of is at the table!!! I pulled all my bets down except the pass line, tossed a seven, cashed out and left.

I'd like to know what made them so paranoid. Some joints are just insane. I played there one other session with a different dealer and got the same hassles as before. There are to many places I can lose my money without being hassled. I determined they wasn't getting my money and haven't played there since.

I don't know why but reading that made me think of this. Granted you said DI probably wont work for you(and you are correct)

A while back I meet a guy playing poker that I was sitting next to. He, After losing a few pots on some bad plays, told everyone at the table he was good card counter and made money every time he played in Vegas. He said this was meaningless to him (I knew this was BS) He explained He had a few good spots to play. He told us he got 86'ed for counting and crushing them one night at one of his good spots(I have a feeling it was for being rude). Being nice I said, "oh that's to bad. "He said," Fk'em, they are not getting my money".

I couldn't resist saying " that's strange you would use that phrase, I thought you were getting their money?"

Forget that!

One of the dice on the next roll goes into (or over) the rail if that's me, then I'd shrug and turn to the complaining player with, "I'm sorry, just making sure it got there..."

The one place in Vegas that has always let me have my fun without so much as a peep about short-rolling is the otherwise notoriously sweaty El Cortez. I have probably had as many rolls as not have at least one die fail to hit the back wall, and I have never heard a word from the crew.

Now, if a place that has gained notoriety for being one of the sweatiest casinos on Earth for card-counting thinks there is so little (read: nothing) to dice-setting as to allow someone to be alone at the table and short roll for over an hour, why should all of these other casinos be so concerned about it?
