Casino war, perhaps. I just about fell over laughing the first time that I saw it actually being offered, thinking of this scene when I saw it.

Dorothy, funny video, but if it were true, there'd be no gambling in existence.
In another thread I posted an account where a player won $172,000 of off EZ Pai Gow at the Cannery (a game I own and that DEQ distributes.) Actually she won $198,000 when including the Dynasty Bonus bet.
I RAN to this thread expecting to finally see some fresh game ideas instead of an old joke. Still funny, though, and appropriate for the view of most people here on this board!!
Thanks!!

Sounds like you got hit by James Grosjean or his cronies ...

No, Dorothy, I hadn't.
She, the player actually won and took the cash, and paid off her house. God saw fit to pop the jackpot on her playing of all things Pai Gow Poker, - nothing to do with James Grossjean and his cronies, whom I do not follow in this business.
For Real.
As far as I am concerned, God Bless her: Apparently, She had indeed.

YES! With a very nice blurb article.
I scanned it in! She's a pretty and sweet Phillipine woman who always plays at the Fiesta and at the Cannery with her husband Eddie; her picture was also posted in a Cannery Casino mailer I received about two weeks ago!
Tell me how I can post a photo on the thread, and I will do so!

Let's see:
"War" = War... too late.
"Pick A Number Between 1 and 10" = Big Six Wheel?
"Heads or Tails" = I think you might be able to get this one.
"Rock, Scissors, Paper" = I think you might be able to get this one too, but betting a street in roulette is pretty close. What cracked me up about the scene in the movie is that the table of players was full.
"Guess Which Hand" = Baccarat?
Boy, if War can find a niche, there has got to be a way "Crazy 8" or "Go Fish" can be turned into moneymakers...

I remember a movie with a casino game called "Sorry, You Lose". People would come up to the table and put money down, then the dealer would take it and say, "Sorry, you lose".
In college we had a drinking game called "You Drink". The game consisted of pointing to someone else and saying... well, I'll let you guess.

" Boy, if War can find a niche, there has got to be a way "Crazy 8" or "Go Fish" can be turned into moneymakers..." About 10 years in Blackhawk there was a side bet on BJ called Go Fish. It seemed asinine. You get a BJ with side bet of $1, dealer does not have a BJ,
Dealer shuffles up a special GO Fish Desk. Somehow it decides to count down 2 , 2 , or 4 cards. Then you got payoffs determined by order of next 3 , 4, or 5 Cards. I asked for the rules just as a souvenir They had none LOL
Will do a patent search and post here later.

I've seen a few online casinos offering Rock, Paper, Scissors. Sometimes they give the name in Japanese, for some reason, but include images of the hand gestures so that you know what it is.
The fact that online casinos offer games like Rock, Paper, Scissors but never, ever Pai Gow tiles or Fan Tan (even at online casinos targeting the Chinese, like Dafa888) only underscores how far away they've moved from the traditional casino model.

Fan Tan is a game in Macau (described on wizard's site) where you bet on the number of beads (technically the remainder mod 4) i.e. a number 0/4 1 2 or 3. And amazingly when I saw it the tables were quite busy.
I bet somewhere there's a very silly simple game that's just waiting to be discovered that will prove to become popular is casinos.

Well, baccarat is pretty much betting on the flip of a (slightly biased) coin.

Yeah, but did you notice the other thing?Quote: Ayecarumba"Rock, Scissors, Paper" ... What cracked me up about the scene in the movie is that the table of players was full.
The dealer called the hand: "Dealer has 'Rock', pay 'Paper'." He didn't say anything about players with 'Rock' being a push, or 'Scissors' losing.
Considering the way that casino was operating, the assumption is they both lose. That's a HUGE house advantage game!
I invented a few casino games. Info:
