I wrote this out, i think i missed something. The booklet i picked up from a casino with the same payouts says
"pair plus wagers = 2.7%"
looks like im 5% out, can you help out and fill the gap for me, be much appreciated.
bet #5 on the pair plus for 100 hands, statistically you would win:
pair 1:1 16.94 times, 16.94*5=#84.70
flush 4:1 4.96 times, 4.96*20=#99.2
straight 6:1 2.36 times, 2.36*30=#70.8
three of a kind 33:1 0.24 times, 0.24*165=#39.6
straight flush 35:1 0.22 times, 0.22*175=#38.5
add all these up together (84.70+99.2+70.8+39.6+38.5)= #332.80
Now add on the stakes that we didnt lose when we hit the hands - 24.72*5=#123.6
#332.80+#123.6=#456.40, house wins #43.60, house edge 8.73%

FOUND IT! The error was that straight odds is 3.26, not 2.36. Must have written it down wrong. Makes it work out proper now! Chuffed thats me.

Just a note - not sure when this happened because I used to play 3 card poker a lot but now not so much: In Atlantic City the pay table has been changed from 40/30/6/4/1 to pay only 3-1 rather then 4-1 on a flush on the pair plus bet. This is big. According to Wizard's site this makes the house edge over 7% rather then a tad over 2%. To make up for this, they offer 50-1 on a mini royal (a-k-q suited) but its not enough to make up for the lack of flush pay.

It's been my experience that you hardly ever see the 4-1 payout anywhere. At least in Vegas it's disappeared as well as at any places in Indiana.

Very common in Washington State to have a 40/25/6/4/1 pay table, with 4/3/1 ante bonus.
