I recently went to an indian casino and was allowed to cash out some points for fake chips to play on tables. They told me that these chips are table games extra coin program called play checks. When you bet a play checks and you win you get a real chips that you can cash out. I pushed and lost on blackjack. When I pushed they didn't take the chips! I also played the chips on the lucky ladys bonus bet and won $15 for suited hand! I read about other types of chips like this on the wizrd of odds site and didn't see ones that let you play on any spot on any table. I played on 3 card poker and won real chips there too. How long can they last with this kind of program for their players? Its a bet for free and I won pretty good. On the site it says that some of these chips keep about half their value and up to 98% of their value. But these play differently and I can't imagine them having the same value. Just curoius to see if anybody else knows what play checks would be valued.

All I can tell you for sure is that these types of chips are valued higher for payouts greater than 1-1. So baccarat that pays .95-1 would be worse than blackjack that pays 1-1. If the casino allows (many wouldn't let you play it on lucky ladies), it's best to play single numbers on roulette - a game that has a high payout. This odd style of play comes from the fact that you do not get to keep the chip after you win, so the more chips you win (on a win) the more you keep. If you play them with blackjack you have a built-in house advantage of 50 - with roulette I think you're closer to 10%.
Edit: The wizard has a good explanation of this somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

No cash value chips are chips that are worth their face value, but cannot be redeemed for cash, basically you play them until you lose them. In Vegas and other Nevada casinos there is a Win Card promotion where one can pay a certain amount for a certain amount in Non-Negotiable chips, usually $15 for $20 in chips meaning you get an extra $5 for taking the packet of help cards for your play. I always do this since it is a free $5 (or 10, I havent seen it be higher than that) in play. One time I won five hands in a row in BJ, they paid me in real chips and the promo chips sat on the table until it lost. This is similar to the free slot play, it can be played with but not cashed out until there is a winning.

It is important to note that you did not get these chips for free. You purchased them with your points. I don't know what the exchange rate was, but hopefully it was such that you made back more than the cash equivalent of the points with your Luck Ladies win.
