I would ask yourself what kind of crowd you enjoy playing with, and find a casino which fits your style.
For example, if you are young and hip, you might want to check out the Hard Rock or the Palms on the weekend. They have a fun vibe. If you prefer playing in one of the more elegant casinos, pick the Wynn or Venetian or Bellagio. But be prepared to play with higher house minimums at the nicer casinos. If you want to watch the high rollers in action, Ceasar's Palace tends to attract them at their craps tables for some reason.
Not sure with regards to firm or spongy tables.
Quote: Scotty71I am coming out 3/17 to bet on basketball and play craps. I am not too concerned about getting odds beyond 3,4,5x but what I really want to know in the Locals opinion where the best tables might be. I set dice and am usually good for at least 1 or 2 20min+ rolls per session. I am more interested in firmer tables than real spongy ones.... any suggestions, favorite?
I try to mosey on down to Vegas from Texas every year for March Madness, and this year is no exception. If you think you know what you're doing, I'd be more than happy to bet alongside with you (or anyone else in this forum, for that matter). I'm willing to bet on anyone who won't immediately seven out.
Since craps will be my preferred game this trip, I'll try my luck at the California and Main Street Station downtown. That seems to be the consensus among the good people of this forum.

That was for Nareed

The seats no. The monitor is right in front of you, but there is some space between it and the next one. You can stand up to shoot, too; I did that when I had the dice.

That would conceivably be usually competent dealers.

From my experience that would be true if by competent, you mean;
grumpy
standoffish
talking only to other dealers
mistake prone
snarky
snippy
bored
RUDE
Obviously, this description does not fit all of them, but I did find more craps dealers that were unpleasant than I have ever seen at one place. Perhaps it was all the $1 tokes I was giving them, even though it was adding up to $10 / hour.

That's about the pace I do my two-way yo's. But more than 85 percent of the dealers are at least moderately friendly and virtually all are more professional than at other houses. Maybe I just smile more.:)

point taken. :-D

Not to mention a James Bond theme...

The rampart offers 100x. I think one of the Cannery casinos does too.
