While I haven't played it, I've read about a three card poker variant from California in which you get to see one of the Dealer's cards.

I decided to quickly make a demo of the game tonight and personally I find it more fun than regular Three Card Poker. What do you think about it?

You can play on this web page

I called it Californian Three Card but they just call it Three Card Poker in California. I don't know if they have permission from Light and Wonder to use that name.

Wouldn't that push your edge a bit closer to 50-50 or is there some kind of weird mathematical trick at play where it's actually negligble?

Well, there is no Ante Bonus, so it is close to normal Three Card Poker I suppose.

I found a link to the rules used at Bay 101 casino. Casino M8trix also uses the same rules. I saw it but I didn't play.

Later I realized that the Wizard of Odds website has an article about this game which it calls "Face Up Three Card Poker".

Also I learned that you are still competing against the dealer, even if the dealer does not qualify. I changed the rules of my website to reflect that. The strategy is a bit more complex than I expected... which is great, so I will need to study a bit before I play this game in real life.

how many decks are you using in your simulation? I played $25 ante and got 2 nine of clubs and a nine of spades
Dealer had nine of spades as their up card
