The oldest hotel in Las Vegas is removing all live dealer games and replacing them with electronic table games, according to the CEO of Circa Resort & Casino.
The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino will no longer have live table dealer games, as the property is “reimagining” its casino floor with electronic table games, a first in Downtown Las Vegas, Circa CEO Derek Stevens said in a statement Monday.
All table games team members at the Golden Gate are being offered roles at Circa or the D hotel and casino or the opportunity to explore new departments within the company, Stevens said.
“Big changes are coming to the Golden Gate, and we couldn’t be more excited,” Stevens said. “As the oldest hotel in Las Vegas, we’ve always embraced the future, and now we’re reimagining our casino floor with a high-energy electronic table games pit unlike anything downtown has seen. Expect more excitement, faster gameplay, and all the newest machines.”

Oh that's too bad! There are actually things I can do there. Surprising as their tables seem a little busier than average around town.
And I'll miss the dancing dealers, who wear those collars with their names on them. There's one (not saying which one!) that I always try to play with, for slightly better pen than the rest and she squeals like I'm touching her whenever I win a big hand. But mostly because of the better pen. What a delightful person. (Because of better pen!) Hope to see her at one of the other Stevens stores so I can continue to win big hands for her satisfaction.
Now let's see what these new electronic games are. Most of them are utter garbage, unfortunately, but once in a while there's an exception.

I've never seen an MS Stud e-game, and I bet it stops up every time someone gets paid $1,200+.
People can speculate why this is happening. I'll start with the threat of COVID reoccurring with no vaccine in the foreseeable future. Others see tourism drop-off because of angst with our biggest neighbors. I could go on, but some cities are being threatened with martial law today. Better give the casino staff an opportunity to leave.
