Recently I developed a website in order to calculate the 'optimal decision' for any hand in Four Card Poker, as well as a few other games like Caribbean Stud). (Link @ harrismowbray . pages . dev / optimal)
I've been using it to help develop a new an improved strategy for Four Card Poker, as I cannot find a strategy more optimal than the Advanced Strategy listed on WizardOfOdds.
Some examples of rules I've found that improve upon the Advanced Strategy are:
"Don't raise 3x a pair of pair of 8's against a 2 if 8 if your highest card or if you don't have cards with the same suit as the dealer's 2, raise x1 instead."
and "Don't fold an AQJT-(9) against a dealer's 9, raise x1 instead."
Does anyone want to collaborate to get as close as possible to the optimal strategy?
If anyone has the optimal strategy already written down, or if anyone has a better strategy than the WizardOfOdds Advanced strategy, let me know.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
