A year ago I was on a heater. I had bought in for 100$ and waited for the dice before I started betting. I had made 4 points and was already at 700$. My point was at 6. I had 5$ pass Line with 75$ odds. I had a 25$ Hard 6. Everybody at the table was betting for me as well. I was 21 years old and people said the kid could shoot. Lot of money was bet throughout. I picked up the dice and they slipped out of my hand towards the back wall. They landed 9 inches away from me. One was inbetween the FIELD and the CE arrows. the other landed in the Hard 8 area. I actually said, "Ooops" as the dice fell from my hand. Stickman yelled out, "6 Hard, No Field. Front Line winner. Pay the Line.... Next time hit the back wall".. I believe that would be considered a no-roll at least 50,000 times for every 1 time it was legit.
For what it is worth, I had put up a nickel hard 6 for the crew, and others had put up a lot of Crew Bets as well... maybe that influenced it?

The only "No roll" that I remember shooting was a 7. Somehow my passline bet wasn't there and the boxman called no roll.

Aside from: dice going off the table or landing on the bank... I have had only one no-roll.
Only my third time ever playing craps. I threw the dice. Both dice hit the back wall. One of the dice rested.. the second dice bounced off the back wall and landed EXACTLY on top of it... Not even hanging off by a little bit... the two dice looked as if a person stacked the two dice one directly on top of the other. I wonder what the odds on that are.

I would have to believe it's a no-roll almost every time - but since it was in the middle of your long roll and you probably had good rolls every other time they gave you a pass.

That is SUPPOSED to be a valid roll. Happens rarely, but its supposed to be valid.
No Rolls are rare. They really like to shame someone into throwing harder but they usually give you plenty of warnings.

All the no rolls I have seen have been due to one die slipping out of the hand, and the other die still in the grasp. As soon as only 1 die comes out they will declare no roll.

my last trip i dropped one straight down and threw one almost to the wall. it was a valid role. I wasn't even given dirty dirty looks by the dealers.

The one time I did that it was a 7-out.
You better believe I quickly learned to hold them better as I throw!
