Wondering if anyone can explain how I can learn to manually calculate a return for a blind payout which differs from the normal payout. For example on Wiz’a site he shows the total return for a 500:1 royal flush payout to be .0108. How did he get here? I’d like to manually calculate the returns for what appears to be a much inferior game with a 50:1 royal, 25:1 SF, 10:1 quads.

Thank you.

Would the correct manner be to take Wiz’s odds and then substitute normal payout for different payout, multiply by probability to find the new contribution to total payout? I think this is the way. Thanks.

Yes, that would be substantially correct.

Thank you. I see in the case where a royal pays 502 units wiz did not include the probability as it was too small to fit on the chart. Instead we see .000000 for a total return of .000159. Is there a way to reverse calculate the return to find out the probability?

There's no need. Just do this: (.000159) * (50/502) = 0.00001583665

What that does is it figures out the return based upon the Royal paying 50:1 as opposed to 502:1, so you don't necessarily need to know the probability and can do your adjustment just based on the return.
