For Baccarat: One wager of entire bankroll on Player. Two possible outcomes.
For Blackjack...And a few questions have been asked of you and ignored! Makes us less inclined to help.Quote: Marcusclark66I do believe most of you are missing my entire point and question.
To bet entire session bankroll on a Blackjack wager is insane. What if he gets a pair of aces against a sevenQuote:Let’s just take a simple figure of a players goal being $100. He brings a total of $100.00 for his attempt. He’s going to wager in $25 increments. Which would you do? In other words, he has $100.00, has to play in $25.00 increments and only wants $100.00 profit ASAP.
1. A one time wager of $100.00.Also stupid!. He loses wager #1. wagers his remaining $50 and gets dealt those two aces again.Quote:2. A wager of $50.00, one additional chance if you lose on wager 1. And if you won either wager 1 or wager 2, would you parlay the win money at all?
Almost as dumb.Quote:
3. A wager of $25.00 each time? Again, if you won would you continue flat betting $25.00 or would you parlay or increase your wager once you won?
He must always wager a half of his standing bankroll or justy less. He must also never wager so much that a split or a double might overshoot his $100 profit goal. With your fingers as calculators, you have now been given the tools to work out the answer. To not do so would be to be ungrateful.Quote:

If I have my entire BR on a bet and get Ace,Ace vs a Seven, I'll sell one of the Aces.
Who wouldn't buy one in those circumstances?
Doubles are nice, but I'd be happy not doubling an 11 vs. 8 if I couldn't afford it. Doubling actually decreases your chances of winning some hands since you only get one card. Some days, it seems like the only Aces I draw are on doubled-down elevens.
Where this really hurts is the inability to make some splits.

Nobody I know plays the way you suggest. (Maybe OD, but that's "research" not "play", and I doubt we'd recognize each other if he didn't see my duck.)
40x. You want to play $2.50 a round, you need $100 minimum.
You want to play $25 a round, you need $1000 minimum.
That's my thoughts.
Enjoy the day!
I made a long post earlier…. I am not sure anyone here can design the best BJ strategy…. But I’d like to see the Wiz, Doghand, ThatdonGuy, Mathextremist, etc. take a shot at it.
So I could lose 3 of those exceptional hands in a row at a buy-in and be left with 1 bet left.
I don't think my UK casino would permit that: They never even heard of doubling for less and laughed in my face when I suggested it.Quote: billryan

True, True. Not being able to double is a minor niggle. Being unable to split and re-split is bad news.Quote:Doubles are nice, but I'd be happy not doubling an 11 vs. 8 if I couldn't afford it. I go to Palace Station for their $10 Pai Gow Tiles. I used to like $1 blackjack, but the stakes are so low, it doesn't provide an adrenaline rush, so $5 minimums are preferred.
Quote: Marcusclark66In your opinion and experience is it better to have more chances or do you feel it’s to your advantage to do it in fewer chances to reach your goal?

The way this question is worded is extremely weird. You are asking me what I would do if I was him. I am not him, so I would not do any of that stuff at all. In general, if I think it is a good bet I will bet the most the casino will allow and I will do it as many times as I can. For this weird hypothetical, I would bet $100 one time and if it wins, keep repeating that bet. If it loses, go and get another $100 and try again. And keep doing that, so long as I think it is a good bet. If I ever think it is not a good bet, then I would lower my bet to $0.
