Did anyone see the news today that Galaxy (Heads up Hold'em) did not meet Wall Street expectations on their quarterly earnings?

I wonder if that is because I just removed one of their games and replaced it with an AGS game. :)

This is essentially every galaxy game, they are completely shameless. They have like 3 original games in their catalog, otherwise all obvious ripoffs with a dumb sidebet or two added like Cajun stud, 3 card prime, 4 card prime, players edge 21, HUH etc. HUH is a little more forgiving to poor strategy players as it takes away the biggest mistake many players make, betting 3x instead of 4x on uth.

HUH does have lower variance and the bad beat feature is kinda nice... I don't like 'ripoffs' but then again I like playing these games none the less ;-).

Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I also have a Game (Casino Holdem® Poker�) that is Texas Hold'em against the Casino.

The main point is UTH is infringing my Patent (Regardless of how my game is Play or Looks-like).

I think most of us understand what Patent means (It does not mean some thing just Looks-likes/Plays-like yours) It means more then that.

e.g. If you have a Patent for gun-powder, It doesn't matter how other use it (put it in a gun, in firework, in a bullet, etc) they are still infringing your (gun-powder Patent).

I don't really think playing poker against the casino should be patentable ,its the variations or the specific rules that should be.What galaxy does should not really be allowed,its a blatant ripoff.

I would have thought that the only benefit of having patents on hundreds of unpopular and unplayed games with no placements would be to try to profit from infringement cases. That's the only reason to bother with the patents, isn't it?

Hi rdw4potus,

I don't know why other use Patents for.

For me, I use Patents to protect my games (basically so others can't sue me and to sue other if need/have to) and not to try to profit from infringement cases.

I may have hundreds of games, but I don't have hundreds of Patents (It is not one-game per one-patent).
I only show the once that has patents protectsions.

This is how it works: One Patent can cover a lot of games.
e.g. My Holdem agains the Casino Patent can be use for any variations of (Texas Hold'em agains the Casino).
I can copy UTH and call it someting els and nobody can say I am in the wrong, because I own the Patent for (Texas Hold'em against the Casino) and UTH is a variation of (Texas Hold'em against the Casino).

P.S. I believe if UTH has my Patent (which they have offer to buy from me, but the offer was too low) WPT Heads Up Hold'em, Hold'em-88 or any Casino-Hold'em Variations will not get away that easy.

My Point is I have a Patent for Texas Hold'em Poker against the Casino/House/Dealer.
I also have a Game (Casino Holdem® Poker�) that is Texas Hold'em against the Casino.

The main point is UTH is infringing my Patent (Regardless of how my game is Play or Looks-like).

I think most of us understand what Patent means (It does not mean some thing just Looks-likes/Plays-like yours) It means more then that.

Why aren�t you suing them for patent infringement?

Also at that time (Around 2006) I don't have as much money as today.

As my game (Casino Hold'em® Poker�) is doing very well Online, and I have a lot of new game to look after, so I don't have time to sue them for patent infringement.
