Top-Draw Blackjack® (House-Edge: 0.67%) Math by Cindy Liu.
* The First Draw-Blackjack game ©2010.
No to be confused with Blackjack-Switch (The First Switch-Blackjack game with Push-22 RULE).

RULES:
All Blackjack rules remain unchanged other than as set out below:

1. Each Player makes an Enter-bet.

2. Dealer deals two cards face up to each Player and one card to himself face down.

3. Each Player has the option of changing his Top-card (Second-card) if his first two-card make a hard total of 12 or higher by making a Draw-bet which is equal to his Enter-bet.

4. After the changing option the hand is played as normal.

5. After all Players have acted; the Dealer deals a second card to himself and changes that card for a new card if his two-card point total is a hard 12-17.

6. Dealer play out his hand as in normal Blackjack.

* The Question is what do you think about (Top-Draw Blackjack®) and WHY?
Any Comments are Welcome Good or Bad (Please give Comments with reasons) so I know WHY and learn from it.

P.S. A new Top-Draw Blackjack® is now Available (with Math-report), where the Dealer doesn't change any card/s.

I hate to say it Mr. C but, as written, I have to vote "waste of Time" for these rules. Players are essentially forced to wager additional money for a gimmick the dealer is getting for free. If they don't, they're at a huge disadvantage. If they do make the added Draw-Bet the advantage is merely equalized and the whole mechanic becomes redundant. To put it bluntly: it's both a waste of time and a ripoff.

I think this game sounds like fun! I would want to try playing it if I saw it. Everyone hates to play the stiff hands, 12-16 and having a hard 17 sucks as well, so this game could be very attractive.

Even aside from the decisions as to whether to discard the top card, the Basic Strategy for playing your BJ hand will obviously be very different than for standard BJ. I assume player should double and split less often and probably Hit (not Stand) on all 12s and 13s and some higher stiff hands.

Question: If you have a 10-2, discard the 2 and draw an Ace, I assume that counts as blackjack, correct?
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

Sounds like a copy of Zappit, with worse rules.

Hi gordonm888,
No, It is not a Blackjack.

BTW, House-Edge on this Game is 0.67%.
I will up-date the Optimal Exchange-strategy and the Game’s Basic-strategy for a 6-deck game HERE, next week.
