I like the Contrast wager for both this and BJ. As opposed to an all-or-nothing baccarat side bet, I like how the Contrast can pay small, medium or big. My only problem with it is how infrequently it hits. To be fair, this is true of all baccarat side bets so maybe fanatical players won't care.

Not being a mathematician, I did a "kitchen table" test of the Contrast wager by playing through one shoe on the simulator here. I got five hits in 80 games: two four-card, two five-card and one six-card. That's a lot of watching the dealer rake your money away. According to the WoO page for this bet you're showing pay table #3 (HE=6.15%) in the picture. So, had I bet one unit on every hand, I would have ended up down only one unit. (Using pay table #1 I would have broken even after 80 games.) Longer term then, not terrible--even good by baccarat standards.

Would I personally play? As a recreational gambler willing to sacrifice some HE for fun yeah, I'd probably mess around with it. I certainly like it better than the Tie wager. If I got a good hit, however, one that put me even a few units ahead for the shoe, I'd just pocket the money and call it quits.

AP players obviously won't touch it, but baccarat fanatics looking at the board for trends? They probably would.
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

* Red/Black Bonus-Baccarat Sounds Better.
I do like Red/Black Bonus-Baccarat, but I can't get the Registered-Trademark for it.
That is why I when for Contrast® Bonus Baccarat™.

* Side-bets are for suckers.
This is mostly true, and that is the way Casinos like it.
So if you want to make a Side-bets, it have to be a Sucker-bet or it will not be in the Casino/s for long.
