in 3:2 bj, the house edge is ~0.5% but i've read the casino hold is ~15% because people play imperfectly.

Baccarat house edge is ~1% for both the banker and player, and 14% for a tie.
there are no options after picking a side.

curious what's the casino hold % since there's no player input?

edit:
HE for tie is 14%

My experience is between 15%-20% but our games have side bets. Baccarat players also seem to bet a higher percentage of their buy-in per hand vs BJ.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

The house edge is 1.06% on the Banker Bet, 1.24% on the Player bet, 14.36% on the Tie bet, and 10.36% on the Pair bets.

So, House edge is somewhere between ~1.24% and ~14.36% depending on how daft the player is?

Also depends on definition of hold. For table games, it's calculated from buy-ins and cash-outs and is much greater than house edge.
Hold defined
The hold would be much more than house edge as the player rebets his chips throughout his session.
Psalm 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Proverbs 18:2 A fool finds no satisfaction in trying to understand, for he would rather express his own opinion.

1) whoops.. corrected tie house edge in my OP.

Yes. Even if you play Blackjack perfectly, if you play 30 times of your purchase, you're expected to lose about 15% on average.

I probably have answered this exact question more than any other on various forums. At least a few times annually. It doesn't help that the Nevada gaming commission uses the generic term "Win Percentage" for both table games and machines when the way they calculate them are significantly different.

There is a big difference between "House Edge" and "Hold Percentage" I believe you are confusing the two terms.
