I was playing craps yesterday and noticed something really smooth or possibly a genuine misunderstanding... But probably not!
The guy next to me threw $10 out towards the hard ways on the felt and yelled out hard way(s) 8 , 10.. he had $10 on the hard six already so I'm presuming he was looking to get $10 on the hard 8. The dealer put $5 on the heartache and $5 on the hard 10. Nobody said anything and I kept my mouth shut just watched. A soft 8 came so the $5 was wiped away and he still had a hard 10 working for $5.. and you guessed it... The following couple rolls the hard 10 came. He collected.
His sleight of mouth got him an extra chance at the Hard 10. If the hard 8 came, I'm sure he would have said that he wanted $10 on the hard 8 and the dealer made a mistake.. smooth move?

He could have said whatever he wanted when if the hard 8 came first, I doubt it would have worked. He saw were it went and said nothing.
I got a plan, we take all your picks we reverse them like one of those twilight zone episodes where everything is the opposite. You say "black" we go white.

Why do you call it a “soft” eight? The hard ways are called hard as in difficult. A 6-2, 5-3 is called an “easy” eight.
