I have a old game with a new twist.
Standard 8 deck baccarat
with no comission on the banker is you bet at least $5 on the tie.
Table limits are $25-$300
I figure I have some kind of edge?

If the Tie bet pays 8:1, the breakeven point is passed with a $59 banker bet and $5 tie bet.

$50 + $5 | -0.183% | -$0.10 |

$75 + $5 | +0.260% | +$0.21 |
$100 + $5 | +0.492% | +$0.52 |

You're probably getting that from Washington state Pai Gow. Waive the commission when you bet $5 on the Fortune bonus. The problem is that, even removing commission all the time, Pai Gow still has some house advantage at face value. The Banker bet has player advantage without the commission, so $5 on the tie isn't enough to offset that.
Casinos are not your friends, they want your money. But so does Disneyland.
And there is no chance in hell that you will go to Disneyland and come back with more money than you went with.

Is this a real game offered somewhere? Or just a hypothetical?

Aren't you required to bet the $1 progressive too? Could a sworn that's what the snoqualmie people told me, but I may have misheard.
Its - Possessive; It's - "It is" / "It has"; There - Location; Their - Possessive; They're - "They are"

Some houses may require that. Not all of them. Some don't require ANY side bet to waive commission.

I doubt it.. this would be the easiest AP play ever.
You literally have to do nothing to earn the $3 / hand.
Even a ploppy could figure out the advantage.

In the hypothetical, the "House" would need a limit on the main wager to Tie ratio. For simpler computations 6 to 1 is EV -0.993%.
edit: sorry, forgot conditions... 8-deck and 8 to 1 on ties.

Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
