if I may be allowed to bust your chops - ha - it's hard for me to put these two things together. Playing the tie, too. Hmmm.
In bac, IMHO, there is only following the trend (repeats) or playing the chop. So many many players try to come in or play from the beginning of a shoe and they want to turn the shoe to the opposite way. They set themselves up to lose. They constantly play against the shoe no matter what it is. They will wager every single hand to cut even on a 5 or 6 or 7 or greater run and then they win the one wager. Then when it goes to chop, they start playing the repeats and hit only an occasional one.
not about losing at all. I'm not sure
what it's about, all the rambling in
the middle threw me off.
Brevity is king on forums, that's
why I have 16K posts.

Could have been a winning or a losing trip, the ramble in the middle about the tie was about playing the game and creating an old school aura of 'over powering the shoe'. Having fun no matter what happens. Derives from the 80's at the big baccarat table not mini tables.
'Serious' as in what context? As in straight-laced and stoical, or as in 'Seriously addicted'?Quote: Baccaratfrom79I became a much more serious player.
Good for you... so far.Quote:I play to make money and usually do overall.
No problem playing for fun, for excitement, for memorable times. Just don't top yourself when you have blown ALL your money.Quote:A memorable hand, a good time and the reason I play this dumb ass game anyways.

Well as far as seriously addicted, I played since the Playboy Casino days in AC and The Desert Inn days since the 80's in Vegas. I go about 3 to 6 times a year except for last year, didn't go at all, started a new biz in the Midwest. I can go or not go, doesn't matter. I don't do the local Midwest casinos. I don't sit there to grind and make $200 on a $200 buy in several times a week is what I was eluding to. I risk a bank roll that is for gambling, has nothing to do with living or biz purposes. Lose and it was disposable income, the way it should be. Blown all your money is in proportion to what one gambles and makes and how he sets aside his gambling funds, etc. Serious meant that I play to double or triple my BR, know the game and recognize the very short period of actual time you can play and have the favored possibilities.
My philosophy too. Bankroll is potential entertainment budget.Quote: Baccaratfrom79Lose and it was disposable income, the way it should be.
I do that on most casino visits, walk in with a wallet of spending money and walk out when I've doubled it or lost it, sometimes triple or quadrupal it if I win too quickly. Overall no expectation to die while still ahead.Quote:Serious meant that I play to double or triple my BR
Favoured possibilities. Hmmm yeah, whatever. It's random games with a house edge. Favoured possibilities: You might do better to get your giraffe out and let that decide your play.Quote:recognize the very short period of actual time you can play and have the favored possibilities.
