Is there any benefit to betting a dozen as it stands on roulette wheel ($1 on 12 numbers that are next to each other on wheel) compared to betting for example dozen 1-12 for $12?
Is it going to hit with any more consistancy?
I would assume theres no difference?

There is no difference. They both pay 36 for 12 when one of the numbers in the dozen hits.

No number hits with any more consistency than
any other number. It's called random.

The only "difference" is, with the 12 single bets, you have to bet a multiple of 12, whereas with the single "dozen" (or column, for that matter) bet, you only need to make a single bet. If the house minimum is, say, $1 on single numbers and $5 on "outside" bets, then you can bet just $5 on the dozen as opposed to having to bet $12 total on the separate numbers.

You could make the bet for $6 by splitting 1/4 for $1, 2/5 for $1...etc. Or do it for $4, where you bet $1 per row. Chances are though, you'd have to bet at least table min ($5?) total inside, so $1 per row wouldn't quite work.
