Thanks Michael. We're getting closer to following back up with the contacts made at the Raving Show.Quote: ParadigmExcellent news TNT.....numbers must be good for that to have happened! Time to hunt down property #2 and sell them on the fact that Ameristar moved the game to the main pit in less than 3 months based on demand....go get 'em!!
Thank you Babs..Quote: beachbumbabsGreat news, TnT! Congrats on the progress.
The game is definitely in a much more desirable position, which is great news overall.
Keep up the good work!
Quote: tringlomaneStopped by Ameristar on both Thursday and Friday. Didn't play the game for two reasons, one of Paigowdan's company's games at Harrah's NKC gave me a good beating earlier.
Didn't mean that at all tringlomane, and I want you to know that.
We love you, I love you, and I want you to get 5 Aces or a Royal on the game, but some off-duty cocktail waitress playing at the Cannery seems to get them all.
Quote: tringlomaneAnd the other, more positive note, both times I walked by the 3 to 1 Blackjack table was full! I walked by about midnight on both Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, unfortunately, after watching a few hands, no one was betting the side bet! :( But when I went back on Friday, three players were betting it consistently. $5, $5, and $10, I believe.
If you get 2 out of 5 betting the side on a BJ game [40%], you're doing awesome. Salud to Tim on this, Fine game.

Tringlomane, wish you had gotten a chance to play the game while you were in KC. Thanks for stopping by and reporting back on the game.
Dan, thanks for your support of 3 TO 1 BJ. It means so much to us coming from you!

Yeah, Tim's game is looking well overall I think.
And it wasn't even "Texas Shootout"...haha :( "Texas Shootout" was full when I wanted to play. So I played "High Card Flush" instead. $5 on the main bet, and $1 on each of the sides on every hand because I know they are crappy overall return but I would kick myself if I hit a big hand and didn't bet it. The top heavy side bet payouts are genius though because everyone else was betting $5 minimum on them every time. I got at least 5 2-2-2-1 suit distributions in an hour...maybe closer to ten. I also got a 6 card straight once that was completely unplayable, and about 5 full houses. Ugh. One of the 2 straight flush bets I won, I could have combined with my neighbor on one of them to make a 6 card straight flush...doh. The dealer also wouldn't have paid me on my other winning straight flush bet if I didn't correct him...grrr. I had to yell "Whoa, whoa, whoa" when he only paid me the bet for a 4 card flush but there was a 3 card straight flush within it. The only 6 card flush during my session made was by the dealer...ugh. Not all of my terribly few 4 card flushes beat the dealer either...meh I lost about $90 in 70 minutes. I bet Harrah's will give me 10 tier points or less for that...lol
All that negativity said, I still think it's a great game in theory. The side bets are rough though when you don't do well even at 1/5th of the base wager. I dunno how the ones that bet equally on every bet deal with the swing. I would have been down $100+ in 20 minutes if I bet a red each on them because I did better in the latter half of the session...
BJ w/ 3:1 side bet open daily.
Anyway. Good luck with it.

This is true. If blackjack was really being paid 3 to 1 , no wonder the tables were full! ;)
