A few months ago there was a thread started by Curtmac in the Poker section about having a two deck Texas Hold'Em game and what the odds were of all the possible hands. I mentioned that my Casino was getting a 6 deck Texas Hold'Em table game called Texas Shootout and that I would post some info and the players feelings on the game after we got it.
We've run the game for about a month now and I have a pretty good feel of the game and how the customers like it. So far it has been a very big success, both for the players and the house. Players have won some big payouts and the table is always busy, with a full 6 players much of the day. Many players believe the game to be more fun and better than 3 Card Poker and Let It Ride. I am a table games player myself in my off hours and agree. I would compare it to a mix between Pai Gow and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. It has a very high frequency, which means players get to play more for their buck than many games that have high top ends, but it's tougher to get smaller wins.
You can find the full write up at the WizardOfOdds.com site HERE. My Casino went with an lower house advantage pay table because we have many more regulars as compared to tourists. We are using pay table 2. We have a $5-$250 max bet on the main bet and a $1-$10 max bet on the side bet.
If anyone has played it, let me know what you think. Or if you have any questions, I'll see what I can find out.
