Best of luck trying it out!

$25k?
I hope those are the oddball tables that only offer one bet size: $5
Missouri has been known to have tables like that...lol
Treasure Bay: Bet $2 - 10 limit, $50K Aggregate.
I'll be in MGM property later this trip. I know limits are $10-100.
Casinos have got to be making a ton of money on this game. I find it painful to watch people continue to play hands like 2-5 or 3-9 all the way to the end. Its like people don't know that you can fold. I was at a table last week where a guy betting $25 hit a full house with 4-8. He pissed away that 2 grand very quickly too.

I haven't paid that close of attention to it since Hollywood took over, but Harrah's STL was like this, at least for awhile.
Quote: OzzyOsbournenever played this game but I was wondering what the typical aggregate payout is on the game. with optimal strategy and a $25 unit a royal flush would pay 100k. I was wondering if most of the aggregates are 50k or if there are some that are 100k floating around. I'll find out in a few days but I was just curious if anyone knew. Oh if you know of any flashing dealers too, please PM me :)
On a $25 max table, the max payout is $125K assuming a player just says "the hell with it" and goes blind or maybe gets a suited AK and goes 3x as a result. On a $100 table, the max winnings is $500K, so if there is a max of $50K to be won on a table, it makes no sense to play anywhere close to that amount. I wouldn't play the table for more than $10 for sure, but I'm a lightweight anyway.
At my casino, I deal MS Stud from time to time and am not aware of a max payout. There is one on Let It Ride ($25K) but Let It Ride is dumb and never open on my shift.

I played Mississippi Stud for the first time last month at Sam's Town Shreveport. I remember cringing at the $25,000 aggregate payout that was listed on the felt. I was only playing the table minimum of $5, so there were no repercussions when I hit quads after 30 minutes of play. I only came to the table to recover from the $1500 beating I took at the craps table. I occasionally play the Don't Pass line but on that day I was a 'right-side' bettor who was placing all of the numbers. No one could make a point, but I left only after the table threw 6 straight point-seven outs.
Despite the win, I am still debating on whether I should play MS Stud again or leave the game an all-time winner.

Hey, from 1990-2010, that was the general rule for almost every table game in Colorado.

I don't know that Roger Snow (Member Name: PacMan) would necessarily have thought of MS if not for LiR. Calling the latter stupid is almost the equivalent of a Rock n' Roll fan calling Blues stupid.

I'm not a big fan of either game to play...I can tell you that MS Stud is far more fun to deal, but as a dealer, I see it a little differently from people on the other side of the table. So to call LiR dumb is to see it from my side of the table and viewing it as a predictable grind.
That and...well, the $25K limit on LiR at my casino where no such limit exists on MS Stud. So at least at my casino LiR is dumb and MS Stud is not. May not be universal.

Palms is like that
Yeah . . . while I've been inclined occasionally to play this, the one element I don't like is that often you are put at odds on what card you want to pop up on 5th street. I hate rooting for one of my bets to fail.Quote: IbeatyouracesIt's been around for a bit. Most places use the horrible 40/30/6/3/1 paytable, or even worse, 40/25/6/3/1.

For the record, Roger didn't invent Mississippi Stud. His old boss (Mark Yoseloff) did. I can't be certain what Dr. Y was thinking, but the game is probably more of an homage to Double Down Stud than it is to Let it Ride.
