What if I know the dealer will get an ace as one of her first cards? What is the EV of my hand then?
I've dug around the Wizard's domain and can't find his wizardly figures for this specific question. Would be grateful is someone could point me in the right direction.
Quote: teddysThe general figure for regular BJ is 42.08% advantage if you know the first card is an ace. In Spanish 21, the advantage is more because of the automatic win on blackjack (you win 3:2 even if dealer has BJ), and the more favorable rules for splitting aces if you get dealt another ace (can hit to split aces, automatic win on 21, can resplit, etc.). Anyway, bet the table maximum or as much as your bankroll can afford if you know your next card is going to be an ace.
Interesting. What are the figures for starting your first hand with a ten in single deck blackjack straight up.

Your EV is +13.99% if the first card you are dealt is a Ten and the game is single deck 3:2 H17 Blackjack.

Thank you. Is the EV -13.99 if the dealer has a 10 as first card up.
