Anyone ever heard of a game called Mini-Tex 3 card Hold 'Em? Apparently the Trump Marina in Atlantic City deals this game, according to their tax returns.

Anybody know of it or the rules/H.A.?

Edit: found the rules: http://www.trumpmarina.com/casino/table-games.cfm?menuid=ME_20090922162834573204

It looks interesting!

Poking around at the site, I notice the pay table for 3 card poker bonus bet is listed as 1/4/6/30/40; I wonder if that is outdated?

On the Washington State Gambling Commission website: Mini Tex.pdf
I've played against the house before, but I found the game to be boring. It didn't last very long at the casino that I played it in.

It could be correct. I know the Harrah's properties have all changed to the bad paytable, but I don't recall checking at the other properties. Borgata still has a decent paytable. For my own tastes, I can't stomach playing 3-card anymore, unless I have a free bet or matchplay coupon (when it is actually the best game to play it on).

Mini-tex looks a lot like Texas Hold 'Em bonus but with three cards instead of five.

It looks similar to my game: Casino Holdem® Flop-3 Poker.
Invented in 2007 / US Patents: 6,206,373 and 6,637,747

Mathematical Analysis = Michael Shackleford, A.S.A. July-23-2007

Rules

1. A single 52-card deck is used. All cards are ranked as in poker.
2. The order of hands is shown in table 1. If both player and dealer have the same ranking hand then the individual cards will be used to determine the higher hand.
3. Play begins with the player making an ante wager, plus optional side bet.
4. Each player and the dealer will receive two cards face down. The dealer will also deal one community card face up. The player may look at his own two cards but may not exchange information with other players.
5. The player has the choice to fold or make a raise bet. The raise bet must be two times the ante bet. If the player folds he will lose his ante bet and his cards will be collected.
6. The dealer will deal two more community cards, for a total of three.
7. Both player and dealer will make the best three card poker hand using any combination of his own two cards and the three community cards.
8. The dealer needs a pair of sevens or higher to qualify.
9. If the dealer does not qualify, then the ante bet will pay according to one of the pays table in table 2, according to the preference of casino management, and the raise will push.
10. If the dealer qualifies and the player beats the dealer then the ante bet will pay according to the pay table in table 2, and the raise will pay 1 to 1.
11. If the dealer qualifies and the dealer beats the player then the ante and raise bets will lose.
12. If the dealer qualifies and the player and dealer tie then the ante and raise will push.
13. The side bet will pay according only to the player’s hand. Five possible pay tables for the side bet are shown in table 3.

Table 1 – Hand Order
Rank Hand
1 Royal flush
2 Straight flush
3 Three of a kind
4 Straight
5 Flush
6 Pair
7 Nothing

Will there be an analysis done on this game on the Wizard of Odds website? Thanx, in advance, for an answer to this.
