Correct. Before this year, only 4 number 15's have ever upset number 2's. The last one was around a decade ago. My second son at Missouri is not in a happy mood. Put a fork in my bracket..... it's done!

Wow, what a day yesterday in NCAA.
Duke - gone, though it was widely predicted they would choke, but not in the 1st round.
Missouri - gone - holy crap, who would have thunk!
3 for four upsets - Temple, Ohio, and NC State all upsets. An unpredictable year at NCAA.

I watched the Mizzou game. Norfolk State couldn't miss in the 2nd half! I read that they shot 63% from the field and 50% from 3 point range in the 2nd half. It seemed like they could do no wrong.
Many times in big upsets like this, the favored team blows their chance with bad play, mistakes etc. This one was different. Mizzou looked to me like they were playing as well as the normally have this season. I read that they are the first team in tournament history to shoot 50%+ from the field, have 10 or fewer turnovers, and score 80+ points and lose.
They didn't do anything to lose the game - Norfolk State just went out and won it.

At 6:01 in the first half, Xavier/Lehigh 16-31 (Lehigh scoring twice as many points as Xavier)
Xavier wins game 70-58 outscoring Lehigh by twice as many points (54 to 27)
Had they won, Lehigh would have been the first team in NCAA history to go from 15th seed to the Sweet 16.

After years of consistently losing NCAA pools with $50 to $200 entry fees, I only entered 2 pools this year... the one in this thread and a 4-person $10 pool with some friends. I am in the top 1% on yahoo and have already won the 4-person pool, given the scoring system and my friends' similar picks.
I like where I stand in our pool, but still a long way to go and UNC is going to hurt me.
I think that I would have preferred to lose quickly, as usual, than win only $30 net and be the first wizardofvegas pool winner to not get a book. lol.

I picked exactly none of the last eight teams. I'd rhetorically ask, What are the odds, but being that this is a the very place where people calculate that stuff, and the fact that I don't want to know, I won't ask!

I participated on two of them on the same site as we are using for WOV. The first one is work people and I am miserably in last place. On the WOV I am in a respectable 9th and still have Kentucky. I did not take the same teams on both boards though.
