Usually there's one for the over under of the uniform number of the player scoring the first touchdown. I haven't seen that yet this year.

That seems like a good choice for the under, having looked at some of her previous singing's she gets it done in about 5 seconds

+700 any Safety. Gah.

I've taken CA for the under and +140 for any defensive or special teams touchdown.

I may take a couple more of the specials for giggles, as they amuse me and will amuse the SBowl crowd I'm watching with. The Brett Favre and Lock out ones look abusable...

Super Bowl XLV Specials - How Many Times will FOX show Jerry Jones on TV during the Game?

I'll be taking the over at 2 1/2 any day of the week! This game takes place in JERRYWORLD for Christ's sake! There will be 3 just by halftime!

There is a prop at the Palms/Coast/El Cortez properties on the number of Scrabble points in the last name of the player to score the first touchdown.

Is there an over/under on that. If not maybe the Wiz could come up with one. Or maybe with a few prop bets for a superbowl betting comp.

Here is a video of her singing it. Here she sings the word twice, the first 4 seconds (by my count), and the second 5. Neither time does she seem to finish the word, stropping before the v. I wonder if they would add up the two? In my opinion since the prop says the "end" of the National Anthem, only the latter Brave should count.

I bet $5 on the under, just for fun.

Here are all of my Bodog props, and reasons why:

How long will it take Christina Aguilera to sing the National Anthem? I have under 1:52 @ -140. In the youtube video above she went 1:59.

How Many Times will FOX show Jerry Jones on TV during the Game? I have under 2.5 @ -110. This is the Super Bowl -- on Fox. Nobody is going to want to see an old man in a suit.

What will Fergie be wearing when she first appears on stage during the Super Bowl Halftime Show? I have pants at even money. That is what she wore in the My Humps video.

Who will FOX show first on TV during the game? I have Jessica Szohr @-140, because she is prettier.

Jessica Szohr

Ashley Harlan

How Many Times will FOX mention “Brett Favre” on TV during the Game? I have under 2.5 @ -110. I think there is not going to be that much chit-chat over things that have no bearing on the game at hand.

How Many Times will FOX mention “Lockout” on TV during the Game? I under 1.5 @ -130. I assume they are referring to a strike. They are not going to want to depress the audience with that.

Who will the FOX announcers say has better hair on TV during the Game? I have Troy Polamalu @ -120. Polamalu has the best head of hair in the NFL. Clay Matthews has just boring long hair, like Tom Brady. If I could have bet on neither, I would have.

What Color will the Gatorade be that is dumped on the Head Coach of the Winning Super Bowl Team? I have Yellow @ 3-2. I thought that was the standard color for Gatorade.

What side of the ball will the Players that perform the Gatorade Shower be from? I have defense @ -200. Chances are the offense will be on the field taking a knee. Also, aren't defensive players known for being more mischievous?

Who will the Super Bowl MVP of the Game thank first? I have teammates @ +250. Proper credit should start where it belongs. You win or lose as a team.

Will B.J.Raji be on the field for at least 1offensive play? I bet the no @ +135, but I don't know much about him. When in doubt -- bet the no.

How many current NFL Players will be arrested during Super Bowl Week? I have under 0.5 @ -200. You don't hear about NFL arrests that much. Now if it were the NBA I'd take the over.

What will the TV Rating be for the Super Bowl? I have under 46 @ EV. It has not gone over 46 since 1986.

Link to Super Bowl ratings.

Which region will have the higher local TV Rating? I have Green Bay @ EV. I think Green Bay fans are some of the most avid fans in sports.

Sorry, that is all I have time for. The other three didn't interest me anyway. I have $10 on all the above.

I had to Google Jerry Jones to find out who he is. Now that I know, I'd bet zero or once. So what if he's the owner of the Cowboys and it's their stadium? IT's not like they are playing...

Yellow, with a hint of green, is the color of the original lemon-lime flavor. It comes in a variety of flavors.

However, until I stopped in the supermarket aisle yesterday, I had no idea just how many colors it came in. It's a complete rainbow!

Admin note: removed image www.djteddybear.com/images/gatorade.jpg

The sugar-free lemon-lime is more green than yellow. There is also two other green colors used as well as a variety of other colors.

FYI: The following ORANGE dump photo is from the 2009 Rose Bowl, obtained from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gatorade.

That photo does not inspire confidence in my bet. I know you can buy the small bottles in lots of colors. However, at Costco they sell the mix and it is always yellow. I assumed that is how they make Gatorade in large quantities for sporting events. Evidently you can buy the mix in other colors somewhere. I wonder if they ever match the Gatorade to the team colors. Perhaps that was not the best bet I ever made.

If I can remember right, it was someone at the University of Florida developed the drink to refresh the football players and it caught on from there.

I think there was a bit of an after-the-fact scandal on how this was handled. The research on nutrient loss was conducted by university personnel using university athletes as subjects. The university should have retained the rights to the discoveries; however, the individual researchers and the commercial company drew all the financial benefits. Other universities learned a bit about how to better secure their intellectual property rights.

I had a college professor who said the Snapple Purchase Disaster by Quaker Oats was payback for them getting Gatorade basically for free.

Well, I don't know all of the first part of it, but I guess the University of Florida did most of the development of Gatorade and Quaker Oats got the product. In the early 1990s, Snapple was the big thing as far as "new age" beverages were concerned at the same time colas were peaking. Snapple sold for a very high price, way beyond what a fair valuation would be. Well, Quaker Oats who bought Snapple got rid of the independent distributors who built the distribution and it all fell apart. They sold it at a 90% loss, eventually having to sell the whole Quaker Oat Co to PepsiCo.

She said the purchase had all the hallmarks of some executive who simply "had to have Snapple."

Lockout mentioned over 1.5 times, -130
Jerry Jones shown, over 2.5 times, -150

Shame they don't allow me to parlay the specials... but it's all for the laugh rather than the value.
